I agree. I have always said this. For every terrorists killed 2 are created. Bush doesn't know the name of his wife and has shoes marked 'LEFT' and 'RIGHT' so I think that little fact would get lost on him but Blair is an intelligent man...why doesn't he wise up and see the facts?

It was not created by the 1982 invasion. The 1982 invasion removed the PLO occupation of the area. Iran created Hezbollah to fill the void. So at best you could say the 1982 invasion led to the creation of Hezbollah.

This just goes to show you that certain countries in the Middle East will do everything in their power to destroy Israel. This is why any and all force used by Israel is justified.

Your seemingly blatant propaganda fails to mention the reasons that Israel invaded Lebanon in the first place.

It does not tell of the constant bombardment of ketusha rockets fired from Lebanon into Northern Israel which led to the invasion of Lebanon - or does a country not have the right to defend itself? - Or is Israel the only country which does not have the right to defend itself?

Your seemingly blatant propaganda fails to mention that Israel has attempted to seek peace with it's Arab neighbors numerous times. Some efforts have been successful (Egypt and Jordan have renounced the "Three No's" - No Peace, No Negotiation, No Israel - which the Arab nations adopted in 1948 when the UN granted Israel it's own homeland). Some efforts have led to the assassinations of Arab and Israeli leaders who worked for peace in the region.

There is also no way that you can rationally compare Israel’s invasion in Lebanon to the unjustified US invasion into Iraq. While it is very true that Saddam Hussein was a very inhumane dictator who approved of the extermination of innocent Kurds in Iraq, George Bush ordered the invasion for his own personal gain - not the weapons of mass destruction or other blatant lies he told America and the world.

Iraq needed to be invaded - by a multi-national force - not the USA and a few allies.

I agree that sometimes the use of force can backfire (ref. Viet Nam) but I do not agree with your assessment of Israel’s self defense from Lebanese terrorists. That is just ludicrous.

I know that Israel encouraged Hizbollah in the early years as they split the Palestinian loyalties making the PLO weaker.

And why did Israel invade Lebanon?

This might be true, similar to the fact that US created Al-Qaeda before, but what happened that both organizations shifted to the opposite side.
