REMEMBER: You will attract more with honey than with vinegar. It should be Jesus reflected in us that draws people to us, if not, we just push them away and give Christ a bad name.

I agree with you 100%. Jesus said to show love and compassion to unbelievers, pray for them. If you show judgement, resentment or anger it will not bring them any closer to God. Show that you are a Christian by example letting them know without a doubt that you have Jesus in your heart. The saying you can attract more bees with honey is the same for the unbeliever. Thank you for the reminder. God Bless you.

I read something recently about people who were getting fired for their emails. It seems that people could not determine the "attitude" of the person writing the email. Leading the bosses to believe that the emails had no personality or character. So the person who wrote the email, though accurate in what they said were misunderstood. Resulting in loss of employment.

Now I have a question for you. Is it possible that the people who are writing to YOU are having the same problem? Could it not be the mindset of the people who are reading the messages and not the TRUE ANSWER that is being given by the Christians who are answering. Let's agree to disagree on all of the things except the fundamentals.

In the words of that great social philosopher of our times---CAN WE ALL JUST GET ALONG? We need to quit trying to read into every answer a put down, an insult, or judgement. Sometimes we just answer what was asked. Many of the questions are subjects of personal beliefs. Everyone has their own belief system. We need to respect that. Some people have no belief system. We need to respect that also.

Very wonderfully put. A Christian though is just as sinful and just as flawed as a non-Christian and sometimes you can't tell them apart. The difference, other than the Christian being forgiven and professing faith in Christ is that God's Promised Holy Spirit actually lives and dwells in the bodies of the Christian along with the inner spirit that God created that is in our body. Along with teaching us the truths of the scriptures and other spiritual lessons the Holy Spirit, through a changed live and unbelievable ability to love those that aren't lovable we show God's love through our lives. That's the way it should be but there are people that are judgmental and who grieve the Spirit with their sin and harbor hate within their lives which squelches the Spirit's ministry. Rejoice though that many Christians are led by the Spirit and walk in love toward all their fellow brothers.

Does a belief really matter ? Hmmm. Sounds like judging to me.
Maybe not intended, as this is in " black and white " and absent of emotion, but it this " right " just for Christians ?
Rather, if one talks the talk and walks the walk ?
Do as ye will, and Harm ye None. One question. Why does your Christ need be blamed for humans that do wrong or even worse ? Scape Goat ? What ever happened to ACCOUNTABILITY for self ? I'm not a Christian, but don't play the " blame game ", or giving a bad name to anyone that is NOT responsible for the " goings on "

The thing that pushes unbelievers away from Christians is not the behavior of the Christians but the insanity of their beliefs. Unlike Christians, unbelievers don't live in a fairy tale fantasy world.

Ah, Christians, be kind to nonbelievers...after all, they will burn in hell for all eternity, why not spare them a kindness now? :)

As an agnostic, I cannot subscribe to any organized religion, as they are by their very nature divisive. A friend of mine started trying to convert me when I was five. We would have long conversations about this topic, and I never wavered from my initial approach...if there is some supreme being who decides what happens to your life-force after your body withers away, which prophet is she going to listen to? Yes, she...if there is a creative force in the universe, it is going to be feminine. :) Will she decide that even though you have lived an exemplary life, since you did not adhere to the strict teachings of one sect or another, you will bubble in the eternal pits of hellfire forever? In which case, which sect got it right? I guess we are all going to hell...in a handbasket! :)

You started out gentle with your question and then what the Hell happen when you answered back ?? You sound hypocritical and judgmental. Is this how gentle we should be as Christians? You are not a good example. Take your own advice, please!

Oh dear Christians (and everybody else), puleeeze be yourself. It's much easier that way to get to some roots of matters.

However, I do think the "wise as serpents, harmless as doves" attitude might work more in your favor.

Also, stop slandering others.

Learn to not be satisfied until you know the truth, the WHOLE truth, and nothing but the truth of EVERYTHING.

Selah!

It is far too late for Christians to reclaim any sort of legitimacy regardless what Christians do.

The public face of Christianity is Pat Robertson, et al. And, most rational people want no part of that radical extremism.

Oh, believers or unbelievers, they should be treated kindly. Meeting people from all walks of life is part of ones journey.
