I would say Christian. They don't have doubt, it's all laid out for them and there is a reason for everything. If cornered by logic they can pull out the trump card of faith. An athiest must frame the world in a here and now context, purpose really undefined. There doesn't appear to be an organized central administation for athiests to enjoy support for there non belief of a God.

When I walked through this world with my back turned to God, I found it much easier to excuse all my actions. I could do anything I wanted and only had myself to answer to; there is a tremendous amount of freedom there. There was also hopelessness and cynicism based on a complete ignorance of purpose. I was free but unfulfilled.

As I walk now with Jesus, I find that I have lost nothing but gained joy and the certainty that I'm moving in the right direction. I know my purpose, the end is clear.

Many people think (like I did) that joining Christ means giving up freedom. The opposite is true, there if freedom in Him to be what you were designed to be and I have lost nothing useful.

Is it easier to be a born again believer? No, definitely not. It takes work and perseverance to gain the knowledge, understanding and wisdom needed to focus properly on God and His designs for me and for this world.

As an unbeliever, all that was needed was breathing, eating and sleeping and fear of the unknown.

I think it's easier to be an athiest for several reasons. One: it's sometimes hard to believe in God when you see all the suffering and pain in the world. Two: it's hard to be a Christian and live by the Bible in today's society. Three: Having faith takes a leap of faith.

Being a Christian is a constant challenge everyday. It's not easy to always do the right thing, to forgive, to be humble, to be kind to your enemies, to be perfect as our Father in heaven is. It is no simple task and one of the most difficult things for me to deal with since I'm human.

With that said, I cannot imagine my life without God in it. How sad it would be to know that there is no God, no hope for eternal life, no comfort from the Holy Spirit. Yes, living my life as an atheist would be easier as there are no spiritual challenges. But knowing that there is no hope would be the most difficult of all.

A Christian.

I wouldn't have to question, I could just believe.
I wouldn't have to think for myself, I could just accept dogma.
I wouldn't fear death, I would believe in eternal life.
I wouldn't have to take responsibility for my own shortcomings, I could just "turn it all over to God" and ask forgiveness.
I wouldn't have to solve my own problems, I would just pray about everything and do the first thing that popped into my head.
I wouldn't have questions and uncertainty, I would have the blind, unqestioning false certainty of the religious.

I wish it were true, that all I would have to do is believe in some stuff, eat some crackers and wine, and someone else would take care of all my problems and I wouldn't have to really die, but could live forever. It would be SO much more pleasant if that were true, but it SIMPLY IS NOT.

So I'm forced to suck it up and blaze my own trail through life.

I think that being a Christian is easier because atheists mind their own business more and don't pester the people around them.

But like some approximately said before me, you need to have a business (set of values) of your own to mind, as an atheist.

Become a christian is harder but also and easier.

From some point of view, it harder to became a good christian since we must follow some moral rules and ethics standards (i.e. to love other person even he/she is your enemy, forgive their fault, etc). Atheist in other hand do not have to follow the same morals and ethics standards.

Anyway, although it is harder to became a christian, but it is also easier. I can't imagine how i can live without my God. He give me strength to overcome my trouble in my life. He walk beside me and help me to carry half of my burden. Because of Him my hard life seem easier.

From an athiest who lives in an anglican community i can tell you that athieism is much easier. If anything goes wrong you can blame it on christians!

An atheist. They don't worry about pleasing God, because they live as though they were God.

And before you all start getting ur knickers in a twist, count up the amount of times you start off a thought/sentence with "I want..."

But being a Christian is definietly worth it. I wouldn't renounce my faith for the world. (I guess i can't be a superhero then)

To me it is easier to believe in a creator. It is harder to believe that everything came about from nothing.

When I see a car or a road a building or a computer or a clock or TV or an airplane etc etc.. my mind tells me something must have made that.

It is hard to believe that that road just happened to be there and it is the very thing that the car needs to drive on..even a gas pump..strange that is the very thing the car needs to run and the gas nozzle is is the exact size and shape to fit into the cars tank.

When I look at all the creation it just works together to perfectly to have occurred accidentally take for example our lungs..strange that oxygen happens to be the very thing they need in order for us to breath. And that we have teeth..the very thing we need to chew our food..etc..could thing of millions of examples
