Sweetie, you need to talk to a responsible adult immediately about the way you are feeling. That could be your parents, a teacher, an older brother or sister, an aunt or uncle, a guidance counselor, or family friend. You are suffering from depression. It is curable! Please don't even think that suicide is the best answer for your painful feelings. Other people who have answered here have offered to help you via e-mail. Take them up on it. You need all the support you can get right now. You are like a little wounded bird who needs to be fixed. Let the people in your life help you. There is medication and therapy that can bring you out of these awful feelings and give you your happiness back. Plan to see a physician as soon as possible so you can get started on the right meds. A lot of us are pulling for you. Good luck and God bless.

No. Being selfless means having more concern for others than for yourself. It is something which has to be consciously learned but is well worth the learning. Many emotional problems stem from dwelling too much on one's own shortcomings and difficulties. If one consciously begins to take an interest in other people and their problems, one's own begin to fade.

This is not a complete cure for some kinds of mental illness, but it is worth trying to do, since it will generally make life seem just that little bit better. Remeber that however badly off you think you are, there is always somebody in a worse situation whom you can probably help.

No. The fact that you have been self-centered is why your problems seem so insurmountable. Try focusing on others, helping someone else, being someone else's support or help.

Lose "self"----The universe doesn't revolve around you--but someone else's life could be better because you helped them.
Try going one day without putting you first. Try putting someone else first for a change.

Get off the cross, honey---someone else needs the wood!

Mattew O gave you the BEST ANSWER! I agree 100%. God our heavenly Father is the creator and HE determines when it is time to leave this world. We don't take it in our own hands or you will be wishing you were back in this world. I will be praying for you. Hope you are doing better.

You could aim for a self induced coma....

... and if thats not good enough, maybe someone will pull the plug on you, then it wouldn't be suicide...
