Martial arts is for sissies?

It's kinda funny that you bring up that argument, given the history of martial arts and hand to hand combat. Martial arts have been traditionally taught to soldiers to give them a means of defending themselves if they ever lose their weapons on the battlefield. It has been done that way throughout history, from the ancient Trojans to our modern Marines.

But not all military recruits were given the same level of training, or any training at all. There have been many times in history that groups of civilians were just gathered up and given weapons, with the intention that even though they weren't trained they would be able to do some damage to the enemies lines before they reached the better trained soldiers. Even today you can see the difference when you compare the hand to hand combat training that special forces operatives receive compared to the rest of the military. The Navy Seals, Army Rangers, etc, receive much more training than the typical infantry because they are expected to engage in more important missions that require them to be better prepared to engage the enemy.

So considering that, every time that people like you mention that they don't need to learn how to fight, that you have a gun, knife, bat, etc, what you are really saying is that you are not valuable enough to be taught to defend yourself. But hey, given a weapon you're capable of doing a lot of damage before you go down.

anybody can point a gun at someone so you're not special at all. Sissies don't get up close to personally pluck out the heart with bare hands. That's why you use a gun because you'd faint at the sight of so much blood. You'd rather shoot from a distance making neat small holes. I think you're the pickle pirate.

Well, lets see - a 2 year old child has the finger strength necessary to pull a trigger. So I guess that makes you a true man.
I do agree that a lot of martial arts are gay (all that prancing dance stuff), but one thing I can say in their favor - at least they train to settle things Man to Man.

It takes a fair bit of training to use a gun effectively too.

At close range, a person with close quarters experience would probably be able to take your gun away - unless you know what you are doign too.

At longer range, you need to put in your time every month at the range to keep yourself "in shape". Otherwise you'll miss.

For close quarter,s I still think a knife is more effective than a gun anyhow.

I hope you really know what the hell you're doing with a gun and aim very well.

However my bet is you will try to hold it like a gangsta and try to put on your baddest Scarface impression while pull tigger like crazy without making any attempt to aim and miss the target completely.

Also NEVER get into a gun fight with someone who actually know how the hell to use firearms.

If you're brave enough to get CLOSE to me with a gun, I could disarm you before you could pull the trigger.

I hope you know how to use it. Nothing will make me more mad than a little sissy that doesn't know how to use a weapon. If you don't kill me, I'm gonna either tap you out or black you out.
