To get away from all the people! To avoid the traffic involved in a commute. To get nearer to friends or family. To be away from an earthquake zone. For a better job. For different weather. Etc., etc., etc.

Even though LA seems like the center of the universe to many that live there, it doesn't have everything for everyone. That's why there ARE small towns in the middle of nowhere.

California is due to a huge quake very soon. This will also affect Washington and Oregon and Vancoucor and Alaska. CA is shakin' and a bakin'! Hope the small town is away from the coastal areas.

who would want to live in LA? smog 365 days a year, standstill traffic 24-7, gangs, self-obsessed materialistic rich people, self-obsessed materialistic middle class people, poor people who wish to be self-obsessed and materialistic, overpriced housing, overpriced gas, overpriced consumer goods, drought, earthquakes, and a severe lack of sane, normal Americans. Oh, and being THAT close to 50 cent or any other rapper isnt gonna do you any good either...
