I have certainly no problem with either Jewish people nor Vegeterians but have little experience with both. What should i not do? They will not be staying for long, acouple of hours the most.

Racistic or vulgar remarks WILL be reported!

They were invited to look upon our Icaro Rodi pottery collection, so in this matter we will have something to discuss and talk about.

Hmm i see most people here are biased and quick to judge. No they are not from Israel, THEY ARE ENGLISH!!! The reason i am asking is not to make them something weird but because I RESPECT MY GUESTS!!! And would like not to offend them. It is not my problem i do not know many Jewish. And i am very sure that many non Israelites but of Jewish Religion are very sad about this war and the killing.

First, you need to make sure you follow the rules as to preparing Kosher food. My mom works for a Jewish lady who has two dishwashers, two knife blocks, two sets of china, etc. She's pretty strict with it. It's been my experience that not all Jews are like this, but if you can, find out beforehand!

Also, find out if they're vegetarian or vegan...it's my understanding that vegans don't even eat butter, dairy, or any animal products. I think some vegetarians sometimes will eat fish, but vegans eat nothing animal related.

Also, you might not want to try to convert them to Christianity while they're there...that would probably offend them and make them uncomfortable, LOL.

Other than that, I can't think of anything.

Since they're vegetarians, your problem is half solved for you. You might want to ask if they are vegan or lacto ovo, etc. This way, you can find out if they eat dairy.

Since it's just a short visit, make something simple and colorful. I'm assuming they are comig for lunch/dinner? Mixed green salads with everything in it are always good. There are all kinds of pasta dishes with veggies in them.

Good luck!

You should ask them about how they feel about the murders in Lebanon since Isreali jets started overflying or Isreali tanks started firing shells over the border. You should ask them if they think its right that the Israeli Govt should legitimise the theft of land from the Palestinians. You should ask them if they are the new nazis. You should ask them if they really think they should shoot innocent people in the head. You should ask them is there any accountability for an Israeli soldier. You should ask them if they are engineering a kind of apartheid between jews and non-jews. You should ask them if they sell weapons to arms dealers and take no responsibility for where they actually end up. Also you should ask them if they'd prefer you to sleep in the garden or the attic as no matter what they told you about "only staying a couple of hours" they are probably going to occupy your house for years.

Sorry you wrote that they are Jewish not Israeli.. so yeah.. as them if they have a favorite dish you could try to prepare for the meal and ask them to bring over a desert and some wine.

ask if the type of veggie than likes milk with their coffee
(then not vegan so dairy products ok)
mixing of meat and dairy foods non kosher
and most veggies won't like meat around anyway
if serving wine make sure is organic to be on the safe side

Just be yourself, friendly and welcoming. I am sure they would not expect you to know their customs and traditions. If you get caught up in what is the right or wrong thing; you are less likely to just enjoy the moment.

Have a variety of foods, then they can choose which they like.

It seems like you are a sincere, respectful person. Don't worry; they will sense your sincerity. If you have an honest concern, I'm sure they would be willing to answer a question about it.

If you have to ACT a certain way...then YOU are the racist.
Act yourself. How are Jewish Vegetarians suppose to act? How are you suppose to treat them? Like anyone else.
If you are going to feed them....just don't give them anything that is meat or unkosher. duh.
