No... a pastor can and often is also a preacher, but most preachers aren't cut out to be pastors. A preacher just means a person who is good at inspiring others to faith via the spoken word. A pastor has a more personal relationship with a specific church. Kinda like a loving father to keep everybody together and loving each other. A pastor is the Shepherd... a preacher is for motivation. A pastor is more of a teacher and guide... a preacher gets the church fired up and excited about their faith. A preacher often gets a person saved, but a pastor keeps them in the church.

Basically yes,but to go a little deeper, anyone can preach; weather it is from God or not. Some people have a gift of words and can persuade people to believe just about anything. A pastor is an overseer of our souls, he prays for you, councils you, goes into spiritual warfare for you. It takes a true man of God to be a pastor.

Yes, each denomination and religion has different terms for religious leaders. But they all mean "teacher of faith"
