Do You Think He Minds?

It depends on what you believe about God, and what you believe about drugs.

I doubt that your God wants you to harm yourself in any way, and drugs can wreak massive havoc on you and everyone around you.

Since you are asking the question, I suspect you think it is wrong. Go with your gut instinct- it is always right.

Let's be honest ... God (if he exists) doesn't care what I, you, or anyone else thinks about the drug use you listed. Those drugs may or may not be bad for you, but the only reason they are illegal (and they aren't illegal everywhere) is because men created laws. God didn't say anything about those drugs ... only man ... and anyone that tells you differently is operating on their own agenda.

Many will tell you it's wrong because they've been conditioned by society to reject these things as wrong ... while at the same time they probably wouldn't come down hard on you about the use of legal drugs ... whether prescription, or tobacoo, or (biggest of all) alcohol. In fact, many religious groups use alcohol quite freely. And yet these legal drugs are just as unnatural as the illegal ones.

When you smoke, drink alcohol, or do drugs, you're actually destroying yourself --everyone knows that--. Normally parents don't like to see how their sons are destroying themselves by using these drugs. The same happens with God. He loves you so much and doesn't want you to destroy yourself. That brakes His heart.

Look up Proverbs 23:31,32; and 20:1.

Our body is temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19 and 3:16).

Those are plants that grow on he Earth which God created. Poppies also.

The plants nor the drugs we make from those plants are neither good or bad as plants do not possess those qualities within themselves,

They can be used for good or bad reasons by people who do posses these qualities within themselves.

Morphine and opiates which come from the poppy flower can relieve suffering or create it , depending on how we use it, same with weed, and cocaine..which is used in eye surgery

If I believed in god, I would think it's fine to do any of those things in moderation. Besides, weed is natural. I think he'd be against anything but maryj and alcohol on principal, because the others are too addictive. But if you can do hardcore drugs and not get addicted, I wonder if he would be proud.

Edited to add: weed CANNOT kill you. Unless you have a strange pre-existing medical conditon, or are allergic to it, neither of which I've ever heard of. In fact, that I know of, you really can't overdose on weed.

Drugs take us away from God, they allow the doors to evil spirits to be opened and to take control of us, so yes, God minds because He says to be of a sober mind....to have self-control. I can't have self-control when I am stoned or drunk, etc....I made many poor choices in that state of mind that I would not have made if I had been sober. And Father always knows best =)

Yes, the Bible speaks against self harm. Drugs are nothing but knifes into your body.

Your body is God's temple. So I would guess he is not a fan of anything that pollutes your body.

But let you conscience be your guide. Your conscience in the "holy spirit" if you know it is wrong, that is God telling you it is wrong. So listen to your soul. It will guide you.

I believe it is ok. I think god sees experimentation as one of lifes needs. As long as it isnt a habbit or addiction, you have no worries. God will trust you to do the right thing.
