As a Hyundai service technician I have run into this problem a few times with customers cars.A couple of them was nothing more than a bad door lock actuator motor that needed replaced on the passengers front door. The others where due to either a bad lock or un-lock relay in the body control module located on the back side of the passenger compartment fuse panel. After I replaced the unlock relay, the locks would operate as designed either manually or with the rke transmitter fob. I would check into having the unlock relay checked out and replaced first.

Have you tried pressing the fob twice, also make sure passenger door is closed properly if it was locked while not completely closed then it wont unlock it automatically

Have you tried opening passenger side door with a key. If it doesn't open, it may be a door lock problem.
