ok, i'm ONLY 14, but i have a problem my best guy friend, ran( his name is randall, but that's UNCOOL so everyone calls him ran ) i think i love him. we have been best friends since second grade. i mean, he's had girlfriends, i've had boy friends, it's never been a big deal. but i bumped into him in a store about the time school got out. we talked and before he walked away, he said " i guess i'll see you when school starts? " and i just seem him in a way i've never before. i thought about calling him and asking him to the movies or something, but i just couldn't. so, i'm gonna wait till school back in session. ( EXACTLY 16 days ) how do i break the news to him? PLEASE HELP!

I would make sure you know him. Then start flirting with him and then see if he flirts back and if he does then you just keep on flirting with him. If you think you are ready then you ask him to the movies and a dinner and if he dresses up then you should complment him like say you like very nice. Then you tell him that you like him and want to be with him and that you have liked him since the 2nd grade and that you can't live without him and you want to be than friends with him. The worst thing he can do is say no or i only like you as a friend.

This is always a tricky situation, and its often feared that the friendship might be ruined if the other person doesn't feel the same way. I think that if you two are 'best friends' and really close and have a healthy relationship, then if he doesn't feel the same way, maintaining the friendship should be easy.
I think you should tell him and for all you know he could be feeling the exact same way, and having the same fears! So take the risk. If you don't then you are risking a really good chance to be with someone in a relationship that you really care for.
Plan the right way to do it for you- whether that be on the phone, face to face, through a hand written letter, email or msn...whichever is best for you, the point is that you do it and get it out in the open of your relationship.
Just remember of all the great possibilities, that's why you should do it.

i was also in the same situation with my best frnd i knew from kinedrgarden.if u wanna break the news 2 him, try 2 know if he likes somebody else. it will be better if u guys talk face to face rather on the phone or in mail. if u r his best frnd, it will be easier 4 u guys 2 talk abt this. if he doesn't love u, then just go on being his best frnd and pretend this never happened. loads of luck to u and i hope that this turns out great.=)

Well, I'm in a similar situation, and I've also asked for help on here.
If you truely like him, be honest with him.
As people told me, it's better to know if he feels the same about you than to not know and feel stressed about it.
There's always a chance to that he thinks the same about you as well.
