A while ago I came across some very interesting information
on the ancient church. Apparently it is not against the halacha
( jewish law) for two women to be together. On another
note two men together was punishable by death.

Lesbians and bisexual women where allowed
and thought of as worthy of marraige to a High
Priest as long as they covenanted to bear children
unto him. There was apparently a priest in the post-
talmudic period who tried to make it unlawful but,
he was overturned by the other high priests.

I have a long page about this on file. Unfortunately
there is not enough space on here to post it.
I will however post the links that might be of
interest to some.

Again this is the Halacha and not
christian law.

What is your opinion of this information

its true that Lesbianism is not as bad as male homosexuality.

the reason for this is that Lesbianism is not considered sex because their is no penetration like in the case of men.

though I am sure it still falls under the category of sexual perversion and their for forbidden but not near to the level of male homosexuality that is explicit in the Torah.

regardless it is an interesting case

I skimmed the first three links and I found them interesting. I guess the argument of not following in the ways of Idolaters can be made but I find the charge of lewdness ( sexual perversion) to be a Superior reason.

This is a common misconception, even amongst jews. Lesbianism is in fact "assur" (forbidden) by jewish law. It comes under the category of "not doing the abominations of the egyptians" (one of which was lesbianism).

It's true that it doesn't seem to be as "evil" as male-male relations, but it is forbidden just the same.

Since God never changes, and is the same, yesterday, today, and tomorrow, then when you see him command that homosexuality is a sin, then you can rest assure it's a sin, and He always has considered it a sin, and always will consider it a sin. Therefore, He would never have allowed what you speak of. Perhaps you're trying to justify something.

You are talking about Jewish law (created by priests, etc) --not the laws of God....not the Bible. Correct?
