(1) Married.
(2) Engaged in consentual intercourse with a female.
(3) Fathered children.
I don't understand why any of these things would be offensive in nature to Christians.

So far I see many of you claiming it is a lie ... and a couple taking offense.
Simply because they didn't put details of Jesus' sex life in the Bible does not mean he did not engage in such actions. The Bible only details a very small amount of Jesus' life.
To suggest he may have done something (not immoral or sinful btw ... for those that suggested sex is such a thing) does not contradict the Bible in any way or lead to doubt over its validity.

It is nothing like claiming my father had a mistress ... that would be valid if Jesus was married to someone and others were claiming he had an affair, but that is not the case.
Monie99701 : I don't think it matters ... which is why I am perplexed by all the negativity expressed over the issue.

I think its because thinking Jesus did all those things humanizes him, takes the saintliness away and makes him vulnerable to human desires.Christians like thinking that Jesus was immune to all that stuff, therefore making him able to take all our sins away since he had a clean slate. Me-personally, i think humanizing him makes him more believable.

Well, unfortunately the church has put a kind of "sex is wrong and sinful" idea in people. Sex between a MARRIED couple is COMPLETELY SANCTIONED by God. If Jesus was married and fathered children then there's is NOTHING WRONG with it. The fact that he may have done that DOES NOT change the fact that he was a great teacher/messiah/prophet.
I don't know why most religious people think sex is such a bad thing. It satisfy the couple's fisical and emotional needs to each other. Why else would we feel that way to our partners?
SEX, MARRIAGE=BEAUTIFUL

It's not so much that we're offended, as we're offended that anyone has such little education that they'd believe such things about Him.
If they believe that He did any of the things that you just mentioned, they have really no serious understanding of history, certainly the history of the birth of Christianity. That's for sure.
Anyone that would believe the above mentioned lies would probably believe the earth is flat.
The proof is all over the place, it's not like this is something that is open to serious debate. Anyone with any understanding of the time period knows that all of the documentation of the era says that the above lies aren't a possiblity.
You might want to believe it, but it has to be your own private opinion. The history of the era is too well established for anyone to rewrite it now, no matter how badly they'd like to believe that, it simply isn't the verdict of serious history.

Why havent the bible thumping scholars spoke up that 25 years of jesus's life is not recorded /silent.
Their is no reason for him not to mary or have children or have a beer or smoke some weed this was the norm for the times he thought no driffent than you do today He was born into a normal family and he would have behaved accordingly.
His story says he gave his parents problems like any other kid.

These people believe that sex makes us impure and that if Jesus did these things then he, himself is therefore impure and couldn't have been "God's white lamb". Then again these people are the same ones that believe that Mary stayed a virgin even after Jesus was born and therefore Jesus has no brother's even though is says he does in Matthew 12:46 and 13:56. Seriously look it up and read away!

Its offensive as there is absolutely no evidence that any of it occurred and as such is nothing but a lie. I also personally feel that it is stated (maby not by you) simply to attack Jesus and thus attack my beliefs.
It would also be like me claiming that your father had a mistress or that your mother was a prostitute.

Jesus could have never done any of these things because He is the Son of God and therefore does not have the curse on Him that man inherited from Adam when he sinned in the Garden of Eden

If he did none of the above I'm sure he must have at least jerked off. He was a great man and all, but he was still a man.
I like to think of Jesus as an arrogant hippy who liked pissing people off and who stood up for what he believed it. But whiter than white, pious and holy? Naaaah.

It seems quite funny to see that someone would actually believe thats Jesus was married, there isnt evidence that he was, exept erational remarks and claims. You must have a decent undersantding of Christianity and Jesus Christ before you make claims like that. and why do you hang out with girls darknessiss

Simply because it is not biblical......Most Christians believe that the bible is the true and unfettered word of God. Any reference to Jesus that is not Biblical or Historically accurate is offensive to them and their God. If you believed with all your might that Buddha was the one true God, and someone told you everything you,ve read about Him in His Holy Scriptures was a lie, wouldn't you get offended too?

People that interpret the Bible literally are usually the one's that take the greatest exception to these ideas because they are subjects that are not covered in the writings. All Christians are not alike, just as all Muslims are not terrorists.
