I've never been to NYC before, so where are some cheap places to shop? Also, where can you get fake designer stuff? Any help would be great, Thanx.

Best shopping in New York is to be found in the discount stores, such as Filene´s Basement (there´s one in Union Square, another on Broadway and 78, and also on 6th Av. and 17th)
In the same building on Union Square South you will find DSW shoes, also discount, but mostly shoes.
Another good choice is Century 21st, on Broadway right in front of ground zero site.
As for fake designer stuff, chinatown and mostly on weekends, also on 5th av.

Canal St for your bootleg designer stuff...
cheap places so shop.... JC Penny, Century 21 are some places... but aint exactly good stuff though...

Korea Town. Broadway and 6th Avenue between 34th and 23rd Street. I am not steering you wrong. Some stores are wholesale only, but sometimes if you offer to pay them in cash, they'll let you buy wholesale. Some other stores are not wholesale and just SO cheap. These stores are where the guys on the carts get the knock-offs in the first place. It's awesome!.

you can try to find it selling from a cart on the street. Just be careful of the cops, last weekend they were rounding those people up and arresting them.
There is no legal cheap shopping in NYC. If you want cheap then do it on the internet and just sightsee in NYC.
