Religion is not the problem, people are the problem and religion is an easy target. Wars happen because people want power. To achieve power, they need followers and to get follows the fight must be about something people are polarized and passionate. Religion fits this criterion. If religion didn’t exist, the power struggle and the wars would still exist, but another catalyst would be used to garner support.
Religion, government, human rights, vengeance, etc. have all been the justification for wars, but if religion didn’t exist the same wars would happen just a different justification would be used.
Religion was outlawed in Communist Russia, yet there were bloodier and longer wars involving Russia than the wars going on in Middle East. Back then it was Communism vs. Democracy and today it is Islam vs. Christianity/Judism.

Of course it would, The crusades, the Inquisition, Salem witch trial, the deaths of native American Indians would not have happened.
Along with other wars that were started in the name of "god"
Someday people will realize that we do not need religion and wake up to the fact that society has been hindered greatly due to religion.. Religion has hindered science at every opportunity as well as hindered the rights of people and religion is trying to invade the privacy of people's homes.
The sooner we do away with religion the better it is for society

First of all it should be understood very well that things happening is part of "Whai is"! NO individual or group of people or even if we put all the peoples together on Earth can change the happenings in world, simply beacuse all people are created objects and no way can control creator.Religions are part of "What is" and will remains as long as its scripted in Divine Plan" if it were not required it wouldnt have been here in first place. So lets accept what is here is here for some purpose. Anyway objects are created and distroyed as its nature is such.No object is eternal & whats eternal cant be object.

eliminating religion is impossible: religion is nothing more or less than ritualized behavior
at some level, every person everywhere practices some sort of religion
however, organized religion is the bane of mankind: God never intended any person to be subordinate to any other person, but only and directly to God
people didn't like it that way: they insisted on being told what to think and how to act by other people eager to usurp the authority of God -- thus was born both organized religion and collective government, which spawned territorial government
there's a profound difference between organizing labor to efficiently produce a "public works" project (potable water, waste handling, food distribution, etc. project) and developing a system of codified behaviors, in which are imposed strict liability limits on everything from basic sexuality to how many hours a person can work in a week.
if everyone followed the Christian ideal -- mind your own business, don't condemn others for their (in your opinion) distasteful behavior, don't enact laws to regulate or prohibit behavior that is in your estimation distasteful or inappropriate, don't allow the penalty of death, treat each other person as humanely as possible, responsibly distribute wealth to the greatest practical degree (and train everyone to be responsible stewards of the resources entrusted to them) -- there wouldn't be any need or desire among sane people for any alternative religion.
Unfortunately, tens of millions of people throughout the world wilfully follow Islam -- a religion characterized by unparalleled cruelty and hatred, and by utmost disregard for the dignity of the human creature.
They are like the woman who won't leave the boyfriend or husband that beats her: they are incapable of making good decisions about such matters. As long as they are allowed to affect government through democratic processes, government will reflect their desire to be dominated by their abusers.
Regrettably, civilized people have to trade with Muslims, and many people (not subscribing to the abuses foised upon people by Islam and Islamic governments) have to work within Islamic jurisdictions (and are so subject to Islamic law).

It would seem that your question has attracted the very people you are trying to avoid in life, bummer. Yes the world would be so much better off without religion of any kind, except maybe Taoism, those guys are cool. Believing in Jesus or Mohamed or any of those guys will only lead to war, strife, misery and suffering.

Yes I love this that there will be no differentiation in religion, nor country, nor status, nor colour etc etc. Then it will be fine. But there may the oppertunist will make other issues according to their needs.Who know what they can make. They are very intelligent. But what to do is like this we should write some novels.articles, poems --in order to clear the line of separations among our selves. We should teach even if to a limited area.Other than religion--there are many drawbacks in this World --wchich should be handled with care.Yes ,I appreciate your emotions.God is with you. In a way, religion is much like politics. Politics, being from way before may have been the root of religion. Thus, if you wish to remove religon, you should also start removing politics. Our way of life would most probably be like cave men without any concept of leadership.

The world WOULD be a better place without any religion. Religions are man made and man has allowed it to take control of him.

Read the Holy Bible for these answers. God gave the Jewish people their religion. He told them what was proper and what was true. The other religions of the time were all worshipping idols and stupid things with no power or majesty. You can take away "religion" but you cannot take away Truth.

I think all the different religions are not necessary. God created the heavens and the Earth---Jesus Christ is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Everything else is inconsequential.
