I took the "tickle test" and here are my results:
Your IQ score is 152. This means that you are smarter than 99.9% of all other Super IQ test takers.
This number is the result of a scientifically-tested formula based on how many questions you answered correctly on the Tickle Super IQ Test.
But there's more to intelligence than a single number, a single score, or a single label. Tickle uses 8 distinguishable dimensions of intelligence in the Super IQ Test. By analyzing your individual scores on those 8 scales, we are able to look beyond the raw IQ score into how you process information, and which intellectual strengths you're best at.
Your test results indicate that the way you process information makes you a Complex Intellectual.
You are highly intelligent and talented in two critical areas: math and language. While others may be skilled at one, you are exceptional at both. Your ability to understand theoretical or abstract information and your attention to detail only

Allow me to add...I don't see the IMPORTANCE of IQ. I was wondering if anyone KNEW why scholars and others THINK it matters. I believe anyone can score high depending on the circumstances. I would get a very low score on an IQ test, for example...if I took it in Hong Kong. So, what do they matter if the results are biased and vary based on setting/environment??

BTW...not being arrogant. The ONLY thing about my test result that I agree with, is that I am complex person. ;)

I.Q. is a random number based on a flawed concept- it tests educational ability rather than actual intelligence- to determine actual intelligence it would be a rather more involved test than mere question answering. to determine someone's intelligence would be a complex undertaking involving real world problem solving, general knowledge base testing, and many other facets of testing to determine an approximate "intelligence level"- also, there is a time factor involved- I have taken I.Q. tests in less than 5 minutes, and still scored well over 150- when I was subjected to my first I.Q. test in the fifth grade, I was so far under time with such high scores the school psychologist told my parents that he really had no idea just how high my I.Q. was- yet the entire reason for the testing I was subjected to was my teachers suspicion that perhaps I had been dropped on my head as a small child. The neurologist my folks took me to had another explanation- he said I was so much smarter than the teacher that I was bored out of my mind in her class.
Forget the tests- they are essentially meaningless.

IQ is culturally biased and the effects are hard to pin down. However, IQ tests (not free online tests) have a high correlation with success in some academic areas and with financial success in life. It's well known that IQ tests concentrate on only a few specific areas of what are considered "intelligence."
Take your Tickle score with a large grain of salt. I "tickled" 170 - and that is NOT close to the score I've achieved on official IQ tests. I think those tests are designed to be artificially high and suck you into the paying side of their website.

Quit bragging. Tickle is only "for fun." While, if you are honest in your taking of it, only take it the one time, and avoid "cheats," such as asking someone else for help, looking up items, etc., the score MIGHT be relatively accurate compared to a score you might earn on a valid test, Tickle is NOT a valid test.
It won't be accepted by anyone who matters.
IQ is a TOOL. It is designed to test logic, reasoning, patterning, and memory skills to help educators and employers determine how to best place and help their student(s) or worker(s).
It was originally designed for use by the military during WWII, when they needed to sort people quickly into different jobs... with many of those jobs being "high tech" and requiring people with fast thinking processes.
So, smarty.... and what exactly are you doing with your smarts to improve our world? Eh? So I'm supposed to be impressed by what? Oh... a NUMBER. Hm. And it matters, why?

I think it depends on the type of test you do. I know that tests with relating to shapes and space would be more difficult for women than for men because of their space conception.
Regarding what it means, for me it probably gives me an indication of some potential. Your intelligence is what you do with it more than what you have.
I am supposed to have a 149 but consider myself as an average person - sometimes even lower.
For me, an intelligent person is the one that makes YOU feel intelligent when speaking to him/her, nothing more.

O.K. - The benefit is, A smart person would have the seance not to go to the outback of Australia unprepared. Let's say you did go unprepared. An Aborigines person and yourself are standing in the middle of the outback. Now who would have a better chance at survival?

I believe that it represents your ability to reason. I'm pretty sure that one of those cheap Internet IQ tests give a bogus number. They wouldn't have much business if they actually told people that they were stupid. Check out http://www.mensa.org/

Congratulations, but if you don't realize what IQ is and how it works, maybe you're wasting it. They are not independent from knowledge, practice and developped skills. But these factors also improve your thinking ability, so they shouldn't be.
