Reading these questions on Yahoo! Answers just kills me; no one uses punctuation and the spelling is horrendous. Are people so illiterate that they don't know simple punctuation? Or, do you think that people are just lazy? Personally, I don't take the illiterate questions very seriously and rarely look at them.

It does always pay to review your words carefully since the typo "stuid" got though on yours, but I can easily see that it is a simple typo.

I do think that you have to consider that some people are really lazy, but we also have to consider that this version of the list requires English and people from around the world use it. Now there are sections for other languages, but we still get some who want to ask their questions here. Not everyone from other countries speaks and writes English as their first language and their spelling is well... not so perfect.

I look at the question and answer on the basis of merit, rather than writing ability (provided I can understand it). To me, that is the only fair way to handle it.

Combination of both. Illiterate and lazy. Netspeak drives me mad! I've tried typing in it and to be honest, it takes me twice as long because I have to sit and think about it. Why bother? The worlds Language Arts teachers are getting worse and worse.
