First of all not all Christians are like this. I am a very devout Christian and I would never ever stick my beliefs down someones throat. As to those who do, I think this has to do more with an issue of intolerance and not so much to do with their religious beliefs at all. They are intolerant people in general and use their religion to promote their own personal agenda. This is odd to me, since Jesus said "Do not judge, or you too will be judged". But some Christians totally forget this...I am sorry if this happened to you...

Hey thank god there is one christian that believes in leaving people alone. Well done francescototti1974!!! Thank you for showing tolerence and I'm sure if anyone came to you looking for answers or guidence then and only then would you tell them how you see things. Wish you were all like that. I look in the religion and spirituality section because I like the debate and I have an interest in spirituality but not religion. So chill people, were all human and all have a right to believe what we want.

Perhaps...

1. They might be thought that this is the only way to get to your head.....down thru your throat..

2. They cannot make u stick their beliefs down your throat by yourself

3. They don't let u make your own choice on what kind of beliefs to get into your throat..
They might allow u...but only as long as it is their choice...:)

4. Err..u have a sore throat? and a good dose of bible thumping might help..

I know what you mean...it's very frustrating. I respect that people believe different things and it makes for a more interesting world but when someone trys to tell me that everyone else that believes differently to them is wrong or misguided then I tend to ignore them. As for why they do it.....maybe they actualy think they are saving a life?!. What they end up doing is pushing people away and isolating themselves....they often end up doing the opposite of what they set out to do. And that outcome in itself should tell them that we all have our own path and if we are true to our inner voice then no matter where we end up it will be the right place.

Sorry, but you are wrong. Everyone on an open forum like this has a right to express their opinion. You have the right to disagree or not to read it. If I see someone going on and on quoting chapter an verse and just being a parrot, I skip them and you are free to do the same. So, that is just simply not sticking their belief down anyone's throat.

i'm no longer inevitably a "bible thumper", yet I do want to unfold the be conscious to as many human beings as attainable. i do no longer circulate door to door, yet do talk to strangers that have been keen to talk. So, that being pronounced. the rationalization I attempt and proportion with everyone seems to be using the fact i understand the fact and sense the affection from Jesus. i want everyone to sense that love additionally and be waiting to have the dating I do. it is the main remarkable feeling understanding i'm suitable with God and could stay perpetually with Him. Jesus says to unfold the be conscious to everyone, yet he additionally says some human beings won't want to hearken to it or isn't waiting to hearken to it. So, on the comparable time us "bible thumpers" could desire to be leaving you on my own in case you do no longer want to hearken to it. yet we could desire to ask a minimum of to be sure in case you have an pastime. because of the fact there are a number of human beings obtainable that are searching for it. Forcing is deffinitely no longer what i want to do. God could have only compelled it on you whilst he created you, yet he did no longer, he gave us a call. So, he does not want us to stress it on you the two.

One one is convinced of the truth (as they see it,) they wish to share their ideas to others because they believe what they do so much.
For example, if someone believes UFO's exist and are convinced of it, some of them wish to disprove the sceptics with the truth as they see it.
What makes sense to one person might not to the other.

Because the Bible contains the only information that will keep you out of hell. Most of the "Bible Thumpers" just care about you.

sometimes they think that their view is the best, because it's "God's view." they're not necessarily trying to make you BELIEVE what they believe, but they want to "enlighten" you, for lack of a better word. they basically don't want you to go to "hell" or have a bad "afterlife" or anything if you don't believe in God because then you won't be redeemed or anything. they might feel like it's kind of their "mission" to help others see "the light at the end of the tunnel."
