I certainly can't speak for everyone, but I am not afraid of Islam. In many ways, I feel sorry for the average muslim who doesn't have any part in terrorism, nor agree with the terrorists. However, some extremist sects of Islam are full of hatred and feel that people of other faiths (at least the Christian and Jewish faiths) should be murdered/killed/massacred/butchered, whatever they want to call it... And that is certainly NOT all muslims, but THOSE muslims are scary and very upsetting. I believe that a normal reaction is self-preservation, self-defense, so when someone says they are or appears to be of the Islamic religion, if we have no way of knowing if they are of that sect, it would be normal to be at least apprehensive. I wish we could all live in peace, however, when one faith threatens another with death, or one country threatens another... there are bound to be feelings of fear, anger, etc. and when the one faith (even just a small part of it) commits horrible atrocities in the name of their faith, then retaliation, anger, hatred, fear, --many feelings -- come bursting out that almost anyone couldn't deny. I am sorry for you, if you are muslim, and like most muslims, this is all a bunch of crap for you, too. But try to imagine the shoe on the other foot. How do we know who is like us and who is against us? Good question, and be well, no matter which side.

We're not afraid of Islam. "Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord." Phillipians 2:8-10

Any culture that does not recognize Jesus Christ as the Savior will be lost. The ONLY people who will be given a second chance in heaven will be Israel---there will be 144,000 who will be saved during the Tribulation--12,000 out of each of the 12 tribes of Israel.

I don't read anything about Islam. If you would like to know more about how to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, just post a question and we'll be happy to help you.

Can we draw any other conclusion from this than that Islam is an abomination to the moral standards of modern society, and should be totally extirpated from the earth?

A final word: I have known many Muslims over the course of the years. Almost all of them were fine people who I would be delighted to have as neighbors. But I propose that this is not because of Islam, but in spite of it.

Postscript: One responder correctly quotes from the Qur'an: "There is no compulsion in Islam." Except that if you are a Muslim but abandon the faith, any Muslim can murder you, with impunity.

Well I know Muslims here in the states that are nice people. But when I hear threats of the use of Nuclear Weapons from anybody it makes my blood run cold.

You know that if Iran Nukes Israel it will make all the surrounding countries uninhabitable right? And the entire world would feel the effects from the Nuclear fallout.
