We are best friends and when we found each other we weren't even looking for partners. We love each other very much yet he is always telling me to find someone who is worthy of me and who can provide for me what I truly want (to be married). Sometimes I feel that noone else in this world understands me like he does. I am so willing to wait, but is that fair to either of us? is he really telling me to let him go?

I guess perhaps he is not ready to get married yet as in he would wanna enjoy the great freedom of choice which he can choose from(not saying you are not nice). It is like the is so much thing to know and you can hardly be sure who is the right one for you for human are greedy..you want the best..so just give him some time if u truly love him and let him know that you are the best choice.

What he's telling you is just what he said. What part don't you get? You have confided in him & he knows what you desire in a partner & he knows he can't provide what you are seeking. His goals are different than yours & you should go on with your life. Maybe after the both of you have had other relationships/carreers/ & families, you'll still be friends & then you can have something to offer one another that is better than what you thought existed!

Is he giving you any signs that he doesn't want to be with you? Then no he doesn't want to let you go. It might be his way of saying that he feels like he doesn't deserve you or he's not good enough for you or something. Either way if things are going fine with you guys, then keep it that way and just have fun! Why look for sharks in shark-less water?

surely you know the answer to your own question. it's jus so difficult to let go cos u believe he is the right one for you yet u are not getting what u really want from him, like the commitment. so, if u think by waiting he will change his mind and transfrom, u do tat. but if u think he wont, its time to move on.

he may be telling you to let him go. but at the same time i understand what your going throug. that is up to you. just know there is no right or wrong in life. so no matter what you do dont regrete what you decided or dont wish you would have changed something. every move we make, leads us to our next step.

I tell my girlfriend the same thing every day. I suggest you take his advice if your objective is matrimony. He has been giving you lots of warning.

MOVE ON!!! As soon as you leave he'll realize that he left something good. You seem that you are so worth holding on to. So give it time.
