Does anyone knows anything about cats?? Are you suppose to brush your cats teeth?

Please help me on this one, cause I need to know if I have to do it or I can take them somewhere so they can do it for me.

LEAVE YOUR CATS TEETH ALONE!!! They're fine!!! Unless you cat is looking like it has teeth problems, dont do anything. If your that nervous about it you can go to your vet every once and a while and they will do a teeth cleaning and dental evaluation. You can also get dental higene food for your cat that helps keep their teeth clean. But dont brush your cats teeth... that would just annoy them and put undue stress on them. Pluss they'll probably like you a lot less. I mean ifthey are going into a show or something you could ask you vet but otherwise... dont. So please... for your and your cat's sake, dont try to brush your cats teeth.

Brushing cat/dog's teeth will certainly help to keep them from decaying, but this habbit have to be start out early or the animal will not get use to it.

And you can send your cat to the vet once a year for a professional clean up.

Some cats have problems with tarter and some don't. Usually cats that eat only dry food have very clean teeth because the food actually helps to clean them (much like milkbones for dogs). Your vet should be able to tell you if she has a lot of tarter or not and what the best choice will be for her!

Yes you are. Talk to your Vet, there is a special brush and you don't use human toothpaste. If you really care for your master, you should brush once a week. It's a really difficult two person task at first, but after the feline gets used to it, he/she will actually be happy when you do it, ya see it's like brushing them out, it's attention and cats generally thrive on that.

I have three, two of them accept brushing, one is hiding, but when I get started she gives in. Like I said don't use human toothpaste. Too much sugar and, not good for their kidneys. It's not expensive and available at your pet store.

If you don't brush they're teeth they're mouths stay septic, (germy) and if they get gum desease you won't know until it's too late for their teeth, they won't eat hard food, and will be under a bed as they suffer. Watch out for discoloration of their gums especially as you press them. I had to have two teeth pulled from one of my guys that just had bad teeth. It happens in cats just like humans. nope you don't have to brush your cats teeth when they eat there food that is a way of them keeping there teeth nice n clean you don't have to worry about there teeth just have to make sure they have food and water you don't they will wake u up in the middle of the night too feed them i know this cause that i what my cat does to me all the time

They make stuff you can use to brush your cats teeth. They also make cat treats to control tarter and freshen breath. I've owned cats my whole life and have never brushed their teeth. Just get some good treats for them to chew up.

This site has a free video showing you how to get your cat used to brushing. You do have to brush, its myth that dry food keeps teeth clean just as its myth that wet food causes the teeth to rot.

Actually you should brush your cats teeth. That goes for dogs too.
If they're teeth decay and get infected it can effect their kidneys and heart. The vet will do it for a modest fee, or you can take her to the groomers.

well i know u can get cat mints to freshen there breath,if thats the problem!!!!but ive never brushed my cats teeth.

You can do it but if you don't want to most veterinarian offices will do it for a small fee. They will even teach you how to do it. They have special toothpaste for cats. Don't use human toothpaste. You can buy toothpaste for cats at the veterinarian's also
