i want to make a cake but i dnt know what all-purpose flour is and if i dnt know that i cant make the cake please someone help me

I can tell you are working off an american recipe...
amercians call it all purpose flour
Aussies call it plain flour
same stuff

Most white bleached flour is all purpose. their are 2 types that i know of all pupose and self rising. to make a cake you need flour about 1 and a half cups flour 1/3 cup cooking oil 2 eggs.
Also 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. blend all the ingredients and bake for about 35 minutes on 475 degrees. that is a plain white cake. or at one way to make one.

All purpose flour is good for all purposes I imagine but if i were too make a cake I would use pastry flour, or 00 type.

All-purpose flour is the basic white flour you buy at any store. It is the most common kind of flour you can find.

all purpouse flour is probably the kind you have.....really unless the recipie is SUPER touchy you should be able to use any kind except whole wheat(you can tell if it whole wheat flour by the little brown flecks)
*when you measure the flour, don't pack it into the measuring cup, just fluff it up before you scoop it out.

All-purpose flour is just regular white flour. I recommend unbleached white flour because it is better for you.
