Very open range of question. If you are talking about golf (I'm assuming you are since it's in the golf section), then I would say the 1997 Masters when Tiger tore the field up with his play. He set a standard that no player will likely ever achieve in winning by 12 strokes. They now have lengthened the course because of his abilities. They will not actually say that they are because of that.
If you are speaking of the greatest game ever invented. That would be chess, hands down. Pure mind play. For anyone who thinks it's a game for geeks, it's more than likely that they aren't smart enough to figure the game out. I have learned over time that a lot happens in life that is close to a game of chess........Make your best moves on the board and in life.

Since this is in the golf section, I would have to say the 1986 Masters. The way 46 year old Jack came roaring from behind on the final nine holes was awesome and one for the ages!
Second place would have to be Phil's 2004 win in the Masters the way he tore up the back nine that no one else could handle, and then to top it off with that birdie putt on the 72nd hole! WOW!

For me it was a game called "star Raiders" which simulated command of a starship. That's what got me involved with computers in the first place. Now I run a lab for assistive technology.
