He doesn't care. HE WANTS ME ON PHYC MEDS!!!! My son is 40 years old on too much pot. He can't even reason! He's like that commercial where the 30 year old man sits in his bedroom smoking a joint telling his friend that he's been smoking pot since he was 18 and it hasn't changed him.He won't look at any proof. he won't hear of any proof. I'm beginning to wonder if he wants me on drugs so he can steal them!! Now what?

If stealing mood stabilizers and anti-depressants is his goal, he's going to be extremely disappointed. He can swallow all of them he can hold and all he'll get out of it is a violently sick stomach. I've taken them for years out of necessity and never gotten the first buzz.

I feel for you, your son doing the pot, other drugs too, very likely. In fact, I feel for him. Stoned is a miserable way to live. The really sad part is, until he's ready to help himself there's virtually nothing anybody can do for him. As for 'what now,' probably the best thing you can do is to disassociate yourself from him. Cut off whatever, if any, support your giving him, and make him struggle along on his own. It may be the only shot you've got to wake him up.

By the way, what I just suggested will be harder on you than him. I'm going through the same thing with my daughter right now.

remedy is significant to improve the meds. no longer each little thing is wisely managed by medicine. If it became, then those situations would not be the kind of difficulty. That being said, your son may no longer be on the right medicine. 2 bipolar meds are not genuinely that a lot--i have been on a minimum of 20 different meds from age 12-17. once he unearths the right one, i imagine he may even out. regrettably, weight earnings is a huge difficulty. Risperdal became the worst for me (Abilify became the perfect for weight). My physician has placed me on metformin, a diabetes med. i'm no longer diabetic, besides the undeniable fact that the med prevents countless the burden earnings from peculiar antipsychotics and is surprisingly harmless. it is helped me immensely. As for the different mom, you mustn't carry this hostile to her. How would do you imagine she would experience in the journey that your son one way or the different managed to get a knife and damage a number of the little ones? it would want to look like she is over-reacting, yet as she would not stay which include your son or have that adventure, she likely felt very beaten. i'm in a particular software for little ones with psychological ailment. i don't think of those courses are customary, yet possibly you would possibly want to inspect something like that. the position i bypass, we do our college-artwork is a constrained environment and do remedy jointly. The objective is to reintegrate decrease back into an time-honored college environment. My grades are astounding (I have a 5.5 GPA (weighted out of four.0) and that i respect being waiting to communicate with different little ones who've themes like me. (there are countless bipolar scholars, depressed scholars, human beings stress issues, and far of overlap). They take...disturbances o.k.. digital mail me by my profile for any questions

ok first of all i wouldnt listen to your son cuz he's on drugs and well he needs to be seen by a doctor. BUT if mental illness runs in your family i suggest that you & him go to be treated. I have lived with 4 people with bi polar all my life and most of my life they were unmedicated so it was hell. life might even be better for you if you did actually tried to see someone.
