Calorie intake depends on the height and weight of the individual and also how active they are. Guys generally need more calories than girls. As teenagers are still growing and developing girls could have an average 2000kcal/day and guys 2500kcal/day.
If you do a google search for RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance) there are a couple of sites where you can enter your statistics and it will work out how many calories you need a day.

Depends on sex and body weight...most of the daily recommendations on labels are geared toward a 2,000 calories diet, which is about average.
