There are tons of reasons to marry someone you don't love, unfortunately. It may have been for money, it may have been because he thought he was in love or maybe he was at the time but he's not anymore.
This is something you should bring up with your boyfriend! Especially if it makes you uneasy. Tell him you have concerns and you really want to talk to him about what happened.

people in the military sometimes get married to cheat the system, so they marry for extra money. they think they will get over it and just use the marriage for the money buit feelings get involved and now young and divorced.it is not worth the money to have a divorce on your back, and now you are wondering why your man got married ot begin with, he isnt going to tell you it was all for money. i have a few friends that tried to do that, and it was the guys idea not the girls. it neveer works out.

Because he was in the military and when men go into the military, they become very homesick and want someone there for them when they come back.
