I'm just curious what people say, I have an answer for myself.

Answer away.....

Interesting answers, kind of what i expected to hear.
I am a firm Christian and believe the Bible to be truth and trust everything it says, as being the one and only truth regarding spiritual matters.
I believe there is a Heaven and there is a Hell. Just like there are absolute truths here on earth (2+2=4, and so on) there is one absolute truth when we die. You will either be right, or you will be wrong.
Take me, I believe that man is fallen and sinful and I am doomed to be seperated from God eternally unless I believe in God's son Jesus who died to save me. I believe that I must repent and try to live according to His will.
I am "saved" and "born again".
If i'm right when I die, then I experience heaven and the presence of God. If I'm wrong, then no loss, I had a great life, lived well, and thats just it. I have no one to answer to.
What if you are wrong though? What does that mean for you?

It is weird how some people say that is there is no life after death. They must really hate life!! You must live constricted and bleak lives knowing that death is inevitable. The purpose of my life is mainly to better my after life. This life is guaranteed to be temporary and all major religions agree that next life is ETERNAL. I opt for the eternal. All that complicated process of being born and living life and then finally that is it...you die. How about those children and young people who never get to see past 18? That is it for them to. I think there is after life where you are judged on your actions and your intentions when performing the action. Did you live life to please your Creator/Sustainer or did you do it to please the creation. I do not think anybody died for my sins especially a righteous Prophet. All of us are responsible for our beliefs and actions. It is up to our Creator to judge us and place us in the place we deserve and earned. Paradise is not cheap. Hell is very cheap just... follow the crowd.

We believe in Paradise and Hell. Paradise is the abode of enjoyment which God, the Exalted, prepared for the righteous. The blessing they enjoy there, no eye has ever seen, no ear has ever heard of, and no human being has ever imagined: "No soul knows what comfort is kept hidden for them, as a reward for that which they used to do." (32:17) Hell is the abode of punishment which God has prepared for the unbelievers and the evildoers. The torture and horror in it cannot be imagined

without it, God would not be the Just and Wise and merciful God He is. God created men and made them responsible for their actions; some behaved well but others did not. If there is no future life in which the virtuous are rewarded and the vicious are punished, there would be no justice and the creation of men in that way and the sending of Prophets to them would be to no purpose at all. But this kind of behaviour is not expected of a man known to be rational and just, let alone the Perfect Creator.

I know the spirit takes up eternal abode in heaven or hell, based upon the decision of the spirit indwelled body that reigned in flesh on earth. We are spiritual creatures and this flesh will pass away, but the spirit never does. And it is God's desire that none would perish, spiritually, without having come to the saving knowledge of his son, Jesus Christ, as he is the only one who can bring us into the presence of the Father.

I think life is a circle. You wait to be reborn. You ever notice how some kids are so much wiser than the parents? It's because they have been around a time or two. The idiots are the new ones. I guess when you are done with whatever you needed to learn you move on to a place where there is peace. Have you ever seen Defending Your Life?

I really can't answer that and neither do I think you can. You can only imagine, can't you? Nobody will ever know. You don't have the choice of asking a dead person, do you? When people talk about souls and spirits, they only express their hopes, they don't like to believe that death is the end of all things. Until I die, I cannot tell you what will happen after that. And when I die, ironically I will again be unable to tell you what has happened to me after that!

I think you meet up with some special people that were in your life, you spend time with them before each of you move on to another life.

I have read The Celestine Prophecy and The Five Prople You Meet in Heaven as well as many other books on the subject, and this just makes sense to me. I had a dream after my Dad passed, that seemed like that's what happened to him...

your body dies, but your soul takes rebirth into another body and place of existence depending on your past actions, one can take a new body in one of the six different types of existence :-
1. Hell
2. Hungry ghost / Spirit
3. Animal
4. Human
5. Demi-god (spirit with special prowess)
6. Heavenly being e.g. fairies, devas,..etc).

This is the teaching of buddha, and many powerful meditator (laymen and monks) are able to confirm the existence of these 6 realms of existence during their deep meditation.

When your body dies, you are instantly transported into the presence of God who made you. You are then separated and placed on one side or the other with a great gulf separating the sides. There you remain till the Great White Throne Judgment.

My Dog will come to me with her tennis ball and I will throw it for her......
