Like having sex, I smoke cigarettes and I would NEVER smoke in front of them out of respect, drinkin beer and acting stupid...I dont think I would be able to do all that I would feel too guilty.

Yes, you try to be a better person, but all of it doesn't last forever. A few bad habits you might quit, but mostly you are what you are.

No need to bash your self over the head with it. Obviously your parent loved you as you are, so your faults can't be that horrendous. If they are watching, they want you to be happy.

Please just relax grieve, and say goodbye. No one can live without doing something 'bad' once in a while. So stop being guilty and live your life!

If you change your behavior, change it because you know you need to change it, and having sex, getting angry, etc., are not "bad", nor are your flaws and failings as a living person any worse than theirs were when they were alive. Remember, they probably knew you quite well while they were alive, and loved you. They have graduated to the next realm. Will they be that harsh, in judging us, the living, who have not yet graduated from the "school" of earthly life? Being in God's presence, they must know with tremendous clarity that He will do the watching and the judging.

Whoa. So strange, but why change for them? The rest of your loved ones that went beyond were watching the entire time before your close one died and to take it one step further, what about G-O-D.

That's the one you really should be worried about,

Trippy question. Yahoo!Answers should allow use to rate peoples questions. Either your good or you get no points at all.

i can't tell you how or why i know this but the departed are always around and see all that we do, think, feel, etc. unlike us on this side, they are no longer burdened by guilt, judgement, ignorance, fear, stupidity, etc. but are in a mental/emtional/spiritual state that is much wiser, kinder, caring and accepting than any of us can enjoy in our world of fear, greed and ignorance. they love us and are not moved by our problems and failings in fact, they find our dramas to be kind of funny and enjoyable from their free-of-fear perspectives.
one way to discover this truth is to read some books by people like James Vanprogue (sp) or John Edwards and other 'psychic' types that communicate with the 'departed'. in most cases there is love, understanding and forgiveness of our 'games' in this world.

Nope. I'm actually doing more stuff I probably wouldn't do because now I know life is too short. It also depends on what you consider bad. Some things I do some people might consider bad but other people might be ok with it.

I think that's normal for most people, especially if you are young. Who knows if those that have passed can see what we do here or not. But one thing I am sure of, if they can see what we are up to, then they would want us to be ourselves. Besides, you shouldn't be doing bad things anyway.

Dude, they are deceased (sorry for your lost by the way) They can not hurt you more than what your doing to yourself. Stop and think, you can actually drive yourself insane by worrying about that.
