why is it when i ask a question i get a lot of good advice but there is always someone who just says something mean that doesnt help me at all.

I think some people are just answering to get points which is kind of pathetic. I mean, get a job or something people! I think that many times, people post questions without giving enough information to clue people into what they are talking about or asking for. Then, people answer based on pre-conceived notions and what they assume or believe you're actually asking if that makes sense. This is also the downside of making a public post - any person can answer you whether they actually have knowlege and experience with it or not. I just read them and ignore the answers that don't help me. Not a big deal.

Most people do it for the same reason prank calls were popular in the 80's they are looking for amusement, and usually it comes at the expense of others. Then there are others who truthfully don't know enough to answer questions so they use inappropriateness to make them seem cool. Like remember when you were in school, there was the class clown, he made people laugh but was not that smart. Well now you are in a class of millions so there are more of them.

Well, obiously, those people don't care about u and the only thing they want is to get the two points
They are not interested in helping u at all
What they deserve is that when they ask a question, they resieve those kind of answer too, so they can see how it feels like
But hey! don't worry! just ignore them and take the good answers, they sometimes can really help!

i do that sometimes. lol i dont mean to but its the mood im in, if im grumpy or tired ill give stupid smartass answers.. if im in a good mood ill answer properly.. but then again there are some REDICULOUS questions asked on here... ask a stupid question get a stupid answer is my theory

It's they we humans are . We are mean crappy a - holes in general. And many of us get some sort of euphoric kick out of insulting others

Most people do it just for points...like it is a game. my short answers are mainly ditto-ing someone else's answer i agree with.
