Are American hillbillies and rednecks more intelligent than the average illegal immigrant who came to the USA?

across the Mexican border? After all, the dumbest American hillbillies and rednecks know how to raise chickens, pigs and a garden. It really doesn't take a whole lot of intelligence.They should be able to do that and have food in Mexico. Unless the Mexican'ts just "CAN'T".

I'm Native American, and I HAVE raised my OWN food. We had pigs on our land along with cattle, horses, and chickens, a river for fishing and we hunted. We're not rednecks or hillbillies, but we did farm. It doesn't take a big farm to raise enough to feed a family but you definitely can't be lazy. Ah, but Mexican'ts "CAN'T"!

Then why are the rednecks, and hillbillies doing it? They can get out in the fields, the orchards, in the poultry plants and do the work. They are the ones that let it get to this by not wanting to do the jobs in the first place. If Americans would take the initiative to get off their butts, and stop complaining they could have these jobs; but you see who has them... Besides have you ever been to the parts of Mexico where these people are fleeing from; you try growing something there and see if you get enough to feed your family. When they do make a good crop they share with their neighbors, there is something unheard of here in the good ol' USA. Where my husband is from there is a huge Volvo plant, there is not any land for growing a crop. So I say to you; they find a way that they can make a living and provide for their families, that's the MEXI-CANS !!!

For being a Native American you are a bit ignorant. In order to raise chickens, pigs, and w/e else you said it does take money you need land, which not all Mexicans have. When you live in Mexico you are either rich or poor. The poor come to work and the rich come to invest its as simple as that. This is the land of the free, that is why immigrants come here. In Mexico there is no in between, you have or do not have money.

You got me laughing again, don't know how I missed this one at 5 am this morning, guess it was all those chores I had to do before going work, lol. I don't know if they're more intelligent or less. I think humans in general can fairly compete intelligently regardless of race or culture.

HOWEVER; I can confidently say that illegals don't have near the pride, dignity, integrity, stamina, will, loyalty, courage, honesty, compassion, or virtue that American rednecks and hillbillies have. NOT EVEN CLOSE!

But now that I think about it more.......criminals are pretty dumb, LOL!

ADD-ON: I have to agree that ILLEGAL immigrants need to be dealt with in this country, but I don't think they are necessarily dumb.

This has nothing to do with this question, but:
To all of those who think that agriculture is easy or that all "hillbillies" are on welfare, did you know that agriculture is the United State's number one industry? Yet Americans still pay one of the lowest percentages of their salary for food in the world. Farming does require a great deal of money to actually make a living doing it. And to the person who said we don't share what we produce in the Untied State, would you like to share your salary with me???

Populations in every country have roughly the same distribution of intelligence. There are some extremely bright Americans and some extremely bright Mexicans, and there are some Americans and/or Mexicans who aren't quite playing with a full deck.

You can not talk to most people about surviving on their own and learning to be self efficient. So many want money and what it can buy. They will do anything-throw their values right out the window for more.
