Because people are basicly nice and charitable. We all want to help each other yet don't know how to discipline each other.

When someone co-signs a loan for another person they're trying to help, going on good faith and trust that the person they signed for will take care of the loan.
Unfortunately theres alot of selfish ungrateful people out there that end up screwing the person over thats lending a helping hand. Maybe thats a good question too, why do so many people take advantage of others?

It's because people think that they're helping. The co-signers don't realize that there's a reason why the person needs a co-signer. It's because the lender doesn't think the person getting the loan will pay it back.
