Why pork is acceptable can be found in the Bible in the New Testament in the book of 1Timothy Chapter 4 verses 3 - 6. I do doubt that Christ ate pork; however, he often dined with the "detestable" of his day and therefore may have full well ate pork. We are not given a clear statement as to his eating habits other than in contrast of his eating and drinking to the lack of John the Baptist and yet both were condemned by the Pharisees and Sadducee's.

the old testament injunction against the eating of pork was not like what the Jewish practise. the penalty was that if you ate pork you stayed away from the others for the day and washed before you returned.
And the new testament includes a scene where Jesus lectures on what is clean or unclean and basically says that you can eat as you please, including the statement that it is not what goes into the mouth but what comes out that makes a man clean or unclean. so don't puke on your shoes

Acts 10:9 About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray. 10He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance. 11He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. 12It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles of the earth and birds of the air. 13Then a voice told him, "Get up, Peter. Kill and eat."
14"Surely not, Lord!" Peter replied. "I have never eaten anything impure or unclean."

15The voice spoke to him a second time, "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean."

Self-explanatory.

I don't think he ever ate pork. But then again, he never got married, had sex, or had children either.

I PERSONALLY DO NOT BELIEVE JESUS ATE PORK.
BACK WHEN JESUS WAS HERE ON EARTH, THE ANIMALS WITH THE CLOVEN HOOVES WERE NOT EATEN BECAUSE THEY HAD PARASITES CALLED TRICANOSIS AND IF THE MEAT WAS EATEN, IT WOULD KILL A PERSON. THEY HAD NO MEANS OF CLEANSING THE MEATS OF THIS BACK THEN.
BUT CHRISTIANS OF THE WORLD EAT IT NOW BECAUSE THERE ARE WAYS USED TO DESTROY THE PARASITES IN THE MEATS- MANY ONLY LIVE BY CERTAIN PARTS OF THE BIBLE AND NOT THE BIBLE AS A WHOLE. THERE ARE MANY MORE THINGS CHRISTIANS OF THIS WORLD DO THAT ARE SPECIFICALLY NAMED IN OUR BIBLE THAT WE ARE NOT TO TAKE PART IN OR DO.
ALSO,JESUS PUT A CURSE ON THE SWINE (PIGS) AND CAUSED THEM TO BECOME DRUNK AND RUN INTO THE WATER AND DROWN. PORK IS ACTUALLY NOT A GOOD MEAT FOR US TO EAT, AS IT TENDS TO RUN UP OUR BLOOD PRESSURE, MESS WITH OUR BLOOD SUGAR, CHOLESTEROL...AND SUCH....ALSO, IF IT IS EATEN, IT IS ONE OF THE FEW MEATS THAT MUST BE COOKED DONE TO BE SURE THERE ARE NO PARASITES WHICH WOULD HARM US.
I AM NOT A VEGETARIAN, BUT WILL SAY THAT MY DAUGHTER AND I ATE ONLY BREADS AND VEGETABLES FOR 3 WEEKS ONCE (WE WANTED TO CONTINUE, BUT THE TEMPTATION OF SMELLING THE MEAT COOKING FOR THE HUSBAND WAS TOO MUCH FOR US). HOWEVER, WE FELT BETTER AND HAD MORE ENERGY THAN WE HAD HAD IN YEARS!!!

God says that it is an abomination to eat pork. So, I am sure that Jesus His son stayed clear......
I believe that If he said not to that strongly- that the best thing is not to eat it. My Pastor said that when you eat pork you are eating all the junk the pig ate. The pig has no way of getting rid of the impurities...Sounds gross to me..........

Oh so NOW you want proof...

If Jesus was a Jew and "kept the Law", it's a safe bet he didn't partake of the swine...That would be an offense worthy of ostracization (unclean! unclean!)

Look in Romans where Peter had the dream.

It's funny a Muslim has to come in here & straighten all the Christians out, but y'all crack on the Holy Qur'an like it's goin' outa style and don't know your own Bible...

Allah Bless

Jesus would never had eaten pork. Christians will say he is Jew, just to eat it, but also he is God to them, what logic really!

Who say that we cannot eat pork, I think Jesus love meat! But to be like Jesus is not by eating physically, but we have to eat spiritually, which is Chirst Himself, eat His word, contacting Him, enjoying Him.

Same as if we are eat carrot every day, then we turn out just smell and our color skin change become like carrot, so If we are eat Jesus everyday. It is very possible to become just like what He is, which we have His expression on the Earth. but of course I'm not saying that we fake it, and act like a God. but by eat Him in our daily life, He well live in us and automaticly we just express God in our daily living to other ppl.
