As Xenos clearly said It was changed by some roman, Well the Roman Catholic Church. The day of rest still is Saturday.
"Observe the sabbath day, to keep it holy, as the LORD your God commanded you. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work; but the seventh day is a sabbath to the LORD your God; in it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, or your manservant, or your maidservant, or your ox, or your ***, or any of your cattle, or the sojourner who is within your gates, that your manservant and your maidservant may rest as well as you. You shall remember that you were a servant in the land of Egypt, and the LORD your God brought you out thence with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm; therefore the LORD your God commanded you to keep the sabbath day."
The day of rest being changed to Sunday is part of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
The Catholic Church changed it, not Jesus or God, Jesus never said to ignore the 10 Commandments. It's a sin to break the Commandments, This is Gods Law's, Well if you are a Christian or Jewish.

Keep in mind that the seventh day is the Hebrew (Old Testament) Sabbath which is a day of rest -- no work is to be done by human or animal on that day.
The Christians began to meet on Sunday, the day of the Resurrection, which is called the Lord's Day in the New Testament (although there is some evidence that Christians began to meet on Sunday prior to the Resurrection as well). Sunday or the Lord's Day was not a Sabbath or day of rest; it was a day of worship and fellowship in the form of the agape meal/communion services.
While many Christians were Gentile converts, a large number of them were former Jews who had kept the Sabbath all their lives. For the first few hundred years many kept both Sabbath and Lord's Day side by side, partly because the Sabbath was still a tradition with them and partly because they had close friends and family who had not converted to Christianity.
It is often said that it was Constantine who changed Saturday observance to Sunday, but this statement is not entirely correct. What Constantine does in effect in the Edict of Milan is to create the first Sunday closure law -- businesses had to close on Sunday for the first time.
If you are looking for the story of how all this happened, you might read the writings of the early church fathers. There are a few other books I will type below which are good resources.
You might also want to look at the literature of some of the churches who continue to observe the seventh day; however, I would use caution when you do this as much of what I have seen does not seem to take a balanced approach and use good scholarship. What is good about these churches, though, is their way of living counter-culturally in being able to take a day off to rest and withdraw from the busy-ness of the world, something that would help many of us!

1) The Sabbath no longer matters only Christ matters. Colossians 2:16-17 "Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ."
2) Sabbath means "day of rest". It is based on the day the Lord rested from creation, which would be Saturday. Just because Christ rose on a Sunday doesn't mean God changed the day he rested. It, the Sabbath, was, is, and will always be the 7th day of the week, Saturday. We celebrate on Sunday because Jesus rose on Sunday morning. It has NOTHING to do with pagans or "changing" the Sabbath day to Sunday.

The Catholics changed it from Saturday to Sunday. Go to
http://godkind.org/sunday-2.html...
It was shocker to me being a Catholic when I was younger.....
Did you know the bible say's that we are going to observe the Sabbath in Heaven? Isaiah 66:22 and 23
Jesus said He was the Lord of the Sabbath. If the rest was going to be abolished, He would have said so......
colossians 2:16 is talking about the Sabbaths- the feasts that the Jewish ones celebrated...Note the s on the end. The Sabbath was firmly in place and no one was arguing about that, just the Sabbath feasts...Also, look at Acts 13:44 Jesus was already resurrected with the Father. The believers were observing the Sabbath.......Great Scripture to prove the Sabbath still was a commandment.

The word Sabbath means "REST"
Saturday was the original "sabbath" as far as
the last day of the week.
God rested on the last day of the
week when He had created the earth
and things on the earth.
This seventh or last day of the week "sabbath" day of Saturday was then extended to the Jewish or Hebrew religon and they went to their synagogues on their Saturday "sabbath" and which they actually started their "sabbath" on Friday evenings unto Saturday evening.
But Christianity regards Jesus as the true Sabbath, or "resting place"
In Him is the Sabbath to end all "sabbaths" for He came to fulfill the Old Testament law in its reality.
Everything in the Old Testament was a shadow or type
that shows Him fulfilling those types and shadows.
For example, the lamb was slain and the blood was applied on the door during the exodus, well, that was a type and shadow of Jesus being the ultimate sacrificial Lamb that died on the cross and we as believers apply His Blood to the door of our heart/
And that Sabbath-Rest which is neither Saturday nor Sunday is for all the Christians around the world for if the "sabbath" was only to be meant for a certain day, then how can the "sabbath" be on a certain day in one part of the world and on another day at the other side of the earth?
In other words, Saturday was an established day for the Old Testament Hebrew believers to worship on their "rest day" but then Christ came and revealed Himself as our Sabbath....then we Rest in Him and He is our Sabbath.
That's how people knew who were the Christians, because the early Christians went to church on a Sunday
in honor of the resurrection day.
When we enter into His Word and He comes to live within us as individuals, we then enter into His Sabbath-Rest.

Saturday was the original rest day but when Jesus rose on Sunday, Sunday became the official rest day for Christian. The Jews are still having their rest day on Saturday.

Jesus fulfilled the Sabbath, so we are no longer under that law. Just like He fulfilled the Sacrifice, so we no longer have to kill a lamb every year for our sins. (Thank You, Jesus!!) Not to say that we don't need a day of rest. But Paul said not to respect one day over another. The reason why we go to church on Sunday is to celebrate Jesus' Resurrection which happened on a Sunday.
Much Love!!

The Sabbath law was fulfilled in Christ who is our "rest" and so we are no longer required to keep it.
Matthew 5:17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
Colossians 2:13 And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 14 by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. 15 He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him. 16 Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. 17 These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.
Hebrews 4:3 For we who have believed enter that rest, as he has said, "As I swore in my wrath, 'They shall not enter my rest,'" although his works were finished from the foundation of the world...So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his. Hebrews 4:9-10

The law was abolished by Jesus' death on the cross.
Eph 2:15 Through his body on the cross, Christ put an end to the law with all its commands and rules. He wanted to create one new group of people out of the two. He wanted to make peace between them.
