"Wow... I can't belive how uneducated xeroxpoop is (no offense)." The asker didn't ask for the sub with the most power handling!!!

Their is no "best" sub. It's all a matter of preference, as you can see by the plethera of suggestions.

The "best" is going to be what YOU like. Go to a pro audio shop and grab a listen. Some of the better shops have functioning displays.

depends what you want to use it for. if you want to use it for the over all sound quality of your vehicle, then i would go with a Boston Acoustics G5. best sounding sub i have ever heard. sounds better then a JL 12w6, and a lot better then the overated w7.

now if you want blow your mind loud bass, then you probabley want the sub that for the past 2-3 years have dominated the extreme class in the db drag racing contest. that where all the guys that build 100k bass systems compete for a living. also the only sub that has hit 180.5 db. the one that with only 14 has been setting these records, and team kicker with there 72 solo X's cant come with in 4db of. thats right, i am talking about the Pioneer SPL5000, loudest sub on the market, louder then a jackhammer, louder then anything.

Wow... I can't belive how uneducated you all are (no offense).

True, the JL 12W7, Kicker L7, and Alpine Type X (of which I used to own two, until the were stolen) are all good subwoofers...

No one, not one... has mentioned the Kicker Solo X. 5000 watts peak, 2500 watts RMS. The Jackhammer is the only think I know of that can beat it, and they don't make that in 12" lol.

I actual have 2 18" kicker solox in my yukon. it replaced right into a demo vehicle. now its my on a daily basis driving force. each and every of my subs are requiring 4 cubic ft of airspace. taking on the the lower back of my truck. powered via zapco. if your finding to establish like this your going to be out a hell of alot greater effective than you imagined in the previous you drop a sub into your truck. your going to be out greater effective than you ever concept on preparing your vehicle for a loopy volume of vibration. and having the flexibility to grant your amp's the 14.4 volts that they require. I actual have a 4 batteries. 2 alretnators. no ac yet after its all dont you wont be apologetic with regard to the expression on the face of the previous couple infront of you at a purple gentle on a sunday afternoon

Woofers are for the dogs. Get a bose system put in your car. It's the best for you and other drives don't have to listen to your music.
