You're a great son to want to do that for your parents. What I did for my parent's annivarsary was cook them a fabulous meal (their favorite dishes) I'm a great cook though, and I set the table up. Nice candle lights, new pretty, table cloth, soothing love music in the background was playing. What I did was have them write one another a letter the day before and they did not know about it and I had them exchange it at the table, they both were tearing up about their love letters lol It was beautiful. Then I wished them well and told them how much I cared and let them be, they had a great night. Be creative, if you cant cook, buy some food and bring it home, set the table etc. Good luck.

renewing their vows was good advice but with your funds I dont know if that would work in the traditional form. So this is what I suggest. Depending on how many sisters and brothers you have pool your money and set up a re-commitment ceremony. See you (or whoever is the oldest) can perform the ceremony and your sisters and brothers can be witnesses. Try to get as many family members to attend without tipping off your parents. have them not only re-say their vows but make new ones for the next leg of their lives together. After the ceremony have a reception. Family members can help with the food and music and then you and siblings can write a letter that you can read out loud at the reception to define what they mean to you. Also this way you can do more with help from family. I hope this helps.

First of all, that's really sweet of you, to get something for your parents. It's very generous.
I think it would be really nice to send them out for the night. With $200 they could probably have a great meal and a bottle of wine. Think about the kinds of things they love. Do they like going to shows or concerts? If they like a certain area nearby you might be able to afford a hotel room or something. Or you can just offer to contribute to them going on a second honeymoon.
As for making something, it's hard to say. You could always go down to one of those paint your own pottery places, and paint a plate representing every ten years they've been together. Paint them two mugs that have their initals on it. You could plan them a party with some of their old friends or a dinner party with the people that were in their bridal party.
Hopefully that helped, at least a little!

maybe you could have a small get together with their family and friends and then for a gift this is really cool...you can buy them a star, yes a star..they will name the star after your parents or what ever you want the name to be...the give you a beautiful framed picture of where the star is located in the sky and then you give the plaque to your parents... my sister in law gave this to her parents at her wedding as a thank you...it was great... oh, go under buyastar.com or purchase a star and you will see the info...

Here's a few ideas:
If you know a local priest/minister, get them to renew their vows.
Put together a memory scrapbook.
Talk to people who've known them for a long time and put together a skit.
Decorate like it was 30 years ago.
Play music from the period.
Dress up and serve them dinner like it was fancy.
Drive them around for the day - to a play, dinner, and a suite at a decent hotel.
Most importantly, make it fun for them. It doesn't have to cost much.
Good Luck

How about a night in a bed and breakfast? Or a his/hers day at a spa? Or a wonderful dinner and a show? Or pay a landscaper to have their flowerbeds redone? How about having both their cars professionally detailed?
You are a good son.

Go buy two 6 foot tall blocks of styrofoam, and carve out a '3' and a '0'. Now you've given them something really big and you've still got about $100. You can thank me later.

XXXXXXXXXX wow, your whole paycheck is $200. You must have a great job. Lucky you. And your parents are lucky to have such a son who is willing to spend it all for them. How about setting them up in a nice hotel room with flowers for mom and a nice bottle of wine for the two of them. They'd never expect you to go that far. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Tell g-parents, aunts, uncles about it and have them help.
We had mine a huge cookout but you could do snacks. Get the entire family together for them. Invite their friends. Have a celebration for them.
