I know it seems incredibly painful at this time, but if you both truly love each other, don't let go of your relationship for anyone. Eventually you're families will recognize the strength of your love and come to accept it. If they do in fact care, they won't want to destroy their bond with either of you.

Make them aware that their unwillingness to support your relationship could negatively impact your decision to make them apart of your lives. Let your love for each other convince them of the staying-power of your union. This and the possibility of being emotionally alienated from your lives, may very well cause them to review their reluctant behavior.

Enjoy your love and be happy.

Take care :).

Is there anything specfic that they dont like about the relationship or is it everything in general that they dont like?

But it really shouldnt matter as long as you 2 are happy and love each other then other peoples thoughts should not matter.

GoodLuck! Everything will be okay eventually they will come to the fact they you guys are together and want to be together.

Sounds familiar, let's see, some of your male relatives and some of his male friends could get into a sword fight. Your family could have a costume party and he could sneak in. Then you could take something that made it look like you were dead, but not really. Of course he would find you and drink poison. When you woke up, you would be so bummed you would commit suicide.

Or you could sit down with all of them, together or seperately and talk it over, find out what's behind the feeling. Is it racial, age, status, or what?

It's your life and your decision who you want to be with, if you both really love each other, then family shouldn't fully be able to get in the way of that. Show both your families that you're not willing to comply with what they want, and make sure to convey to them that it's none of their business who you form relationships with. Though I wish you would say why the families don't want you together, there may be a good reason for it, but nonetheless it's your decision who you want to be with, not theirs.

Talk to them and see if you can get some honest feedback about why they don't like your relationship. Then evaluate what they say. See if they have any valid points. If they do, maybe cool it for a while. If not, follow directions of poster #1.

First of all, it doesn't matter what they want. If you're happy who cares what your family thinks?
