hmmm....I'd be interested..it COULD actually even save us money. If we deport all the illegals, we could save money by not having to pay for their education(maybe Los Angeles can finally have decent sized classes), not have to pay for their health care, medical bills, jail food, welfare. And the people who are willing to immigrate LEGALLY will have to pay taxes, which means we will get more taxes.
It's DEFINATELY not fair that many illegals get all their medical bills paid for by the TAX PAYERS, when people who ARE LEGAL can't get their medical bills paid for. its just NOT FAIR.
If they ALL payed just as much taxes as us...then it might be OKAY...if they were planning to LEGALIZE their immigration. They should also pay all the taxes they would have had to pay in the past, plus all costs that other tax payers had payed FOR THEM. Plus welfare.
They also need to learn english...and learn American culture. I was listening to this talk radio show, and this guy was talking about how he lives in this really nice high-end apartment building...and how theres a lot of hotels near by..so the mexican illegals that work in the hotels got an apt near his. He said how they had about 15 pple living in that ONE BEDROOM APT...and how they never cleaned it...and they got rats...and roaches...an water damage...and all kinda NASTY bugs n diseases....MY GOD! AND this guy ended up getting all the bugs too, cuz its an apartment building..and it drove the value of his apt down...and he had to live with all this ****. I MEAN ITS SERIOUSLY NOT FAIR.
Every night, i go to bed...with loud mexican music...they play it ALL NIGHT! they have like no respect for other pple...And im not saying EVERY mexican is like this...but usually the illegal ones ARE. And even if we call the police, they dont do anything....cuz ther mexican too....and they r afraid of confronting them, cuz this place is gang infested too.
Like this one time, we were fixing our floors...and we had our saw table and machine outside..to cut the hard wood floor pieces...n some assholes stole it from us...n one guy came back n was like.."hey i know who stole it...want me to find him?" n its like we KNEW he was part of it..but we cant tell the cops..cuz these gangs KNOW WHERE WE LIVE...if they get arrested....they'll come back n kill us prolly...so they were like "hey we'll sell it back to u for 300..." and well duh the guy had to buy it back, cuz that thing was prolly worth a lot more...and those guys were illegal GANG MEMBERS...and WE CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT

I think that would be an outstanding idea so long as we could ensure that their rights were not being violated.
So long as the Supreme Court sticks to the position that even an illegal alien is entitled to Due Process (pre-deportation hearing + presented with the evidence against such alien), it will be difficult to delegate the job out to independent agents without the government risking liability for any unconstitutional action of such agents.
If such a system could be successfully established - e.g., with having private agents instead of ICE agents doing the enforcement - but then bringing the aliens before a magistrate for their deportation hearing, I think it could be quite successful.
Whether they should be deported and, if so, whether all or just the dangerous ones, etc., is a different question.

Honestly, I'm not sure that this would be the best solution. Independent contractors might be a little, for lack of a better term, mercenary. Without oversight, there is no guarantee that the rights and safety of these illegals would be protected. Also, there is no guarantee that these contractors would have the resources to insure that the people they detain are truly the illegals they are looking for.
Look at boutny hunters, for example. Every year there are a few examples of bounty hunters arresting, bullying, damaging the homes and property of, and harming people who are incorrectly identified as their mark.

That runs into a legal problem. The only ones allowed to deport someone is the federal government. If we gave the job to contractors, it may be more cost effective, but it would raise tons of legal problems.
One other problem....if we get rid of all the illegals, who will pick our fruits and veggies? Americans are too lazy or too proud to do it. If Americans DID pick them, they would want union wages. That head of lettuce you just bought would eventually end up costing around $6 and an apple about $2 each.
In the long run, it would cost us a lot more to get rid of them all. Yes, get rid of the troublemakers, but not those willing to do the jobs Americans won't do.

I thought illegal immigration was awful for the US for quite a while, then realized how beneficial it actually is. The immigrants take care of the jobs that no one else would take, and our culture and economy has adapted to them to the effect that removal would be devastating. The great majority of illegals do pay taxes, whether voluntarily or not, but they do not receive refunds at the end of the year like we do, so they actually pay more than legals do. They are also improving the economy of Mexico, which will lead to the democratizing of the country, which will lead to a more stable future where the south american coups will come to an end, and prosperity will form across the entire north american continent.

Interesting idea - sorta like a bounty hunter. Problem is giving private individuals the power to verify citizenship.
If someone was overzealous, they could be demanding to inspect proof for every foreign looking person.
I also have concerns about providing access to private information for another group.
So, I guess from a logistics point of view, the idea gets a big thumbs down in general.
The idea could get a thumbs up to turn in idntified illegals (thos who disappeared when their access route (green card, visa, student, etc.) ran out and those who skipped their court date. This could be done thru the existing bounty hunter network, so in this circumstance it would get a huge thumbs up.

I think the cost should be paid for by the Corporations . After all they are the ones who enticed the illegals to come here . They should be the ones to pay for sending them back .

PERSONAALY--I THINK THIS WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA. I WORK IN A HOSPITAL AND SEE TOO MANY GETTING FREE MEDICAL CARE WHILE MANY WHO ARE LEAGL CANT GET MEDICAL HELP WHO WERE BORN IN THIS AREA. THERE IS VERY LITTLE MEDICAL INSURANCE OFFERED IN THIS AREA BY INDUSTRY AND THOSE WHO ARE LEGAL SHOULD BE THE FIRST TO BE ABLE TO OBTAIN IT.
