It is realistic to lose 2.5 lbs per week.
The dietician website listed below uses the BMI, waist-to-hip ratio and other parameters such as elbow breadth, age and number of hours you sleep to give you a more complete assessment of your body state. You will get accurate recommendations from the website if you input your personal data. Generally, recommendations for a healthy diet are fat 25 - 30%, protein 10 - 15% and carbohydrate 55 - 60%. The summary page also give recommendations for exercise doing daily activities.
You can determine whether you are fat by calculating your BMI (body mass index) and hip-to-waist ratio. Women tend to believe they look their best at BMI values between 20 to 22. Women with hip-to-waist ratios of 0.8 or lower are in good shape.
You can determine whether you have a small medium or large frame by measuring the distance between the two bones at your elbow.
You can control your weight through diet and exercise. When you exercise your heart rate should be 220 - your age times 85%.
Finally, getting proper sleep hygiene is vital to the production of growth hormone which functions with other hormones to control weight. So go to bed and awaken at the exact time each day even on holidays and weekends. Teenagers usually are sleep deprived. You should plan on getting 9-10 hours of sleep per night.

Healthy weight loss is no more than 1-2 pounds per week. So realistically you could lose between 4-8 pounds a month.

Realistically -- if you followed a 1600 calorie diet, no cheating, you worked out every day, drank 96 ounces of water every day, you could lose *safely* 3 pounds a week.
Now, when I started I lost 7 lbs the first week (3 of it was water) and continued to lose up tp 5 pounds a week until I dropped 100 pounds, then it dropped down to 3 pounds a week and then 2.
How much do you have to lose? If you have over 100 pounds to lose your body is used to you eating tons of calories, or you wouldn't be that over weight. So when you cut the calories, replace fat with fruits and veggies, drink water and exercise your body is kick started.
However, if you have under 50 pounds to lose, it won't come off as fast.
Bottom line -- if you eat less than you burn you will lose. If you eat MORE than you burn you will gain.
Good luck let us know how you do.
And one last thing -- you didn't put it on over night you are not going to take it off over night.

Different people have different body types, meaning they loose weight at different speeds. I have heard that the bigger you are, the more you will loose in less time. However, most of that will be water weight. I have personally found it be realistic to loose 2-3 lbs a week, making it 8-12 lbs a month.
Hope it helps and good luck in your weight loss!!

Ten pounds...usually around ten your body plateus for a bit and after while you can lose more again. Losing the first ten (which is usually only water weight anyways) is pretty easy but the hard part is keeping it off long enough to then begin losing actual fat.

Homeopathic Treatment for Excessive Fat and Weight :-
PHYTOLACCA BERRY's Mother Tincture is perhaps the safest and sure fire way of loosing excessive fat around abdomen. With Phytolacca Berry once you loose the excessive fat and weight you don't get it back because you body takes care of itself after that and keeps you from gathering up excessive fat. It is prescribed after having a baby too, to get the tummy to loose its flab and to make it flatter and tighter. And after loosing weight with this you don't get flabby it tightens up the flab and skin along with helping your body to shed the excessive accumulation of fat around the girth
The dosage is 15 to 20 drops of the tincture in half a cup of hot water thrice a day half hour before or after meals.
Avoid Chocolates, Coffee, Mints, Red Meat and Carbonated and Alcoholic drinks while taking Homeopathic Medicines. You have to take it for at least 30 to 45 days after that you start to feel the results.
To the best of my knowledge its the safest and the most sure fire way of loosing fat and weight and keeping it of for keeps. Excellent remedy for Obese people who cant seem to shed weight despite trying.
Homeopathic Remedies can be found at all Major Herbal Stores or could be bought on line, In most of the world Homeopathic remedies are quite cheap and easy to find and they do not need a prescription.
Take care and God Bless !
