Dear President Bush:
I'm about to plan a little trip with my family and extended family, and I would like to ask you to assist me. I'm going to walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico, and I need to make a few arrangements. I know you can help with this.
I plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I'm sure they handle those things the same way you do here. So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Vicente Fox, that I'm on my way over? Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:

1. Free medical care for my entire family.

2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.

3. All government forms need to be printed in English.

4. I want my kids to be taught by English-speaking teachers.

5. Schools need to include classes on American culture and history.

6. I want my kids to see the American flag flying on the top of the flag pole at their school with the Mexican flag flying lower down.

7. Please plan to feed my kids at school for both breakfast and lunch.

8. I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easy access to government services.

9. I do not plan to have any car insurance, and I won't make any effort to learn local traffic laws.

10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from Pres. Fox to leave me alone, please be sure that all police officers speak English.

11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my house top, put flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.

12. I would also like to have a job without paying any taxes, and don't enforce any labor laws or tax laws.

13. Please tell all the people in the country to be extremely nice and never say a critical word about me, or about the strain I might place on the economy.

I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for all the people who come to the U.S. from Mexico. I am sure that Pres. Fox won't mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely. However, if he gives you any trouble, just invite him to go quail hunting with your V.P.
Thank you so much for your kind help.

This has been floating around on the Internet for quite some time. I REALLY wish that I could take credit for writing this up, but I can't. I did, however, want to share it with everyone because it's rigiht on the money!

~*~ You people really don't have a clue do you? Come down to Mexico you might like it.. yet.. things aren't as they seem.. Many of you are asking and answering when you don't know all the facts.. I'm not saying that you are stupid.. I'm just saying that you are not informed of many things..

1. There is no such thing as free medical care.. Many people don't even seek medical attention because they don't have the money to get to a medical facility.. not to mention, not having enough money to pay for it.. Yes, Vicente Fox has approved low cost medical insurance for low income families but it is not yet available to all..

2. Many Govt officials of Mexico do speak English because most of them are rich and were educated in private schools that taught English.

3. There are forms that are in both English and Spanish in the places that have a high population of English speaking immigrants/tourists..

4. There are teachers who speak English in Mexican Schools..

5. In schools the children are taught about histories and cultures from many other countries not just the US..

6. The US flag is not going to be flown on the top of a school in Mexico. The Mexican flag is not flown on any school in the US..

7. The children do receive breakfast and lunch in the schools.. as well as a program that gives them food every month.. somewhat like the WIC program in the US..

8. You will not need a Mexican Drivers license because the Mexican Govt recognizes your US License.. You won't be able to receive any special govt services though cause you need a voters card to do that.. You can't get one because you are not from Mexico..

9. You won't have to get any car insurance from Mexico because really there is no such thing as car insurance there anyway.. Its a big rip off.. They just take your money and you never receive any type of compensation for an accident or loss.. And really its not going to bother the Mexicans if you don't respect the traffic laws because most of us don't anyway.. I hope you don't get hit though.. Many of us forget that red means stop and green means go.. Many of us forgot that the red "alto" (stop) sign means stop.. Now I'm not trying to say that we don't know how to drive its just that people drive however they want.. there are accidents all the time and many fatal accidents.. this could be prevented if the govt would make the effort to enforce the traffic laws..

10. I'm sure that you can be accomodated with an English speaking officer.. Just because you are an american doesn't mean you won't get a ticket or go to jail.. depends on what you've done..

11. Go ahead and fly your flag.. People might talk about it but they aren't going to make you take it down.. go ahead and put some decals on your car.. I know some guys who sell them cheap down there.. I'm sure that they could help you out..

12. Don't worry about paying any taxes most people get paid under the table.. unless you are going to work for the Mexican govt. then you will have to worry about getting taxes taken out of your check.. Be forewarned that when you get your bill for the electricity and water they are going to be outrageous since you don't receive a check and taxes aren't taken out..

13. The people in Mexico are very nice and they don't pass judgement on people like the Americans do..

Come down to Mexico.. See it and Experience it for yourself.. You might like it..

That goes to show how uneducated the people in the USA is. I for one will tell you I am a social worker and they do not get free medical care, if they have a child that is Born here in this country yes that child does and he/she should. And yes they pay Taxes' it is taken out of there checks. So tell me where that money goes! maybe the people that hire them keep it and really are getting free work in the long run. or does the GOV get it and what happens to it then. And by the way take your trip to Mexico I am sure they won't mind.

go ahead...go on your trip. bring back some tacos and enchiladas and bring back Cd's of the great music, and some nice recipes(Mexican food), oh and take some horse back riding lessons, also take advantage that you're there and become bilingual. even better, learn the history, oh dude, you know what bring me back some cool boots and gorgeous rancheros dresses(as souvenirs, thanks darling).
I want to wish you a nice trip don't forget to tell me how it was to do some construction work over there and how nice it was to have the pleasure of working in some real Mexican restaurants over there, without knowing Spanish.
Bye sweety, say hi to your family and friends and I wish you all a wonderful experience!

You go Girl!!!! My grandparent's entered this country legally through Ellis Island and worked for everything they got..Never qualified for any government handouts or special "programs"
What has happened to our country? where are the elected officials to enforce the law..or do we even have immigration laws anymore? How many legal born Americans die each day from lack of the ability to obtain health care? Well, I know of one..My late husband..Let's close our borders and fix the problems of the people who where born here and are legal Americans...even the ones who are from other countries but were wonderful enough to do it the legal way and become bonafide naturalized Americans..

I just wanted to tell Ricky he is a dufus. But I am sure he already knows it. Can you believe that people ignore the content of a perfectly laid out concept to focus on some minor articulation of the English language. I think that's stupid.

freebirdat2002-
"That goes to show how uneducated the people in the USA is."

Read that until the irony kicks in you moron..... On second thought, I know you are to stupid to grasp it, so I will point it out for you. It should say "are" not "is". If you are going to call an entire nation stupid, make sure not to make an *** out of yourself while doing it.

what are you trying to say? well you should go ahead and do that be sure to tell me how it goes! and illegals don't expect all those things listed above. We do not expect free medical care and for your information we do pay taxes and contribute to America's economy and society!!
