A teacher in the school i go to has a 1994 extended cab chevy. It has 91,000 miles and a roll top bed cover. If i know him like i think i do it is in excellent condition and was never mistreated. My parents think that i should not buy it because if i have problems with it i cant call him and tell him to fix it he may get angry and take it out on me in school and make it tougher for me. What should i do?

You buy the truck as is...the problems are yours to fix!

Take the truck to a mechanic you trust and have it checked out. Most of the time when you buy a vehicle from an individual, they are "as is", with not warranty. So he would not be responsible to repair any problems you have with it after he sold it to you. Write out some sort of a bill of sale making everything clear for both sides. That way there can be no mis-understandings on either side. If you are paying for the truck and paying your own insurance, it's all on you, not your parents anyway.

You both could take it to a body shop together, and they would give you a run down of the condition of the truck. That way you can get the information from the horse's mouth, so to speak. Remember, you do get what you pay for most times. However, if you have the truck checked out and still feel like it is a good deal, then go for it. Your parents are probably just concerned and want you to get the best deal for your money. Be thankful you have concerned parents. :-)

Why do you want a truck? Aren't you like five years old? Why don't you work on your spelling and sentence forming. Lets say you do buy the truck. Do you have any idea how much the gas will cost you? 40 gallon tank times $3 a gallon equals $120 to fill it and if you are lucky you might get 12 miles a gallon. I say buy it. One more thing you need to learn that last remark was sarcasm. You are nuts if you buy it. who cares about the teacher think about your wallet

But, maybe if you buy it, you will get a better grade and not have to work for it, or a worse grade after doing exceptional and working very hard.
A soon to be 13 year old Chevy is not worth very much, remember that, if it was a salable item, he probably wouldn't be offering it to his students.

when you buy a used vehicle or a new one for that mater you take the chance that something mechanical will go wrong and you can't expect a private seller to fix problems after you buy the vehicle

Don't buy it. It's going to be weird if it breaks down.
