Give her a banana instead of an apple.....hey, I've heard they're healthier! What did you think I meant?

Hello--I've got the answer to your question. I am a teacher myself. Teachers are people, too. Showing your appreciation and respect through demeanor and body language communicate what gifts cannot. It's the parents that are genuinely thankful and supportive that make our job easier. If you feel like giving a gift, then periodically bring her/him lunch from his/her favorite take-out place. Teachers are reluctant to except such tokens, so you may unexpectedly drop off such a lunch to the front office as a surprise. Most schools only have a 30-40 minute lunch break, so teachers rarely get treated to take out. In fact I typically devour a nutrigrain bar while returning emails during my lunch break. Needless to say, special lunches are special treats!

Thank you for being a loving parent.

I am a teacher and the best gifts I have ever gotten are heartfelt thank you notes. I have kept every picture and note a student has ever given me and I have made a wonderful scrapbook of the last 14 years. I promise you that she will cry over a nice thank you note --especially if you give it to her on the day you graduate high school and the note includes how she helped you reach that milestone ---what a rush!!! That is why we do what we do!!!

Depending on your age........... I would be respectful and polite, give or make a card expressing your admiration or likes.
Imitation is the best form of flattery so you could dress similarly and mirror her behaviour. Not knowing if you are male or female is making this answer more difficult.

If you have a crush......... consider the negative consequences for your teacher; she may loose her job and the respect and trust of society if you try to pursue any relationship.

Be the best student you can possibly be. Compliment your
teacher often. Ask thoughtful and insightful questions.
You are not a lawyer, so don't ask questions you already
know the answers to. Above else, be kind and repectful.

You pay attention and be helpful and do your home work and be one of the best students in her class.Nothing makes a teacher happier than to know she has reached a student.

depending what grade level this is, you can work with her.

I had a great organic professor in college and I worked in his lab for a year, just because i liked his class so much.

try helping her grade papers, tutoring etc... or ask her how you can get ahead or learn more on the subject being taught.

also ask them about their day/lives.

Write her a nice thank you note. She'll keep it forever and look back at it when she needs a pick-me-up.
