I did alot before I got married. You gotta shop around! And I am so glad I did because I found the most perfect husband. Of course, I kinda wish I had known before the other 11 guys!

we dated for 18 months, engaged after 1 year, then lived together for 1 year before getting married. Shortly after we moved in together we started sleeping together, a few months later actually since we only had my twin bed from home and I couldn't sleep on the cold floor because of a bad back. Got pregnant 5 months before the wedding, and it was very planned. Now happily married for just over 2 years with a 20 month old son and trying to conceive a second baby.

I was pregnant when I got married, so there you go... and no we weren't living together (ha ha ha at the time we weren't even living in the same state, we had a long distance relationship... very long distance, he visited me before he moved from SC to Germany, I was in Maryland, he came back from Germany to get married). Looking back, I'm not ashamed, BUT I will say this, my husband wasn't my first (but IS my last... unless heaven forbid something happens to him and I remarry), and I'm not ashamed about that either, but there were a few in my life that I wish weren't on my "list" I wish I had excersized a bit more caution and discretion. AND that being said I'll pass that information on to my kid, because I don't want her to think there is anything wrong with her if she chooses to have sex outside of marriage, as long as there is love in the relationship and responsibility. I don't think our young people are properly educated about STDs, or about getting pregnant (I got pregnant because I was careless and lazy, BUT we were engaged at the time, so marriage was in our future... just the having kids thing wasn't expected to happen so quickly). Honestly, I'm glad I DIDN'T wait until my wedding night, my wedding was SO stressful that by the end of it when we got back to the hotel, I didn't WANT to have sex... we ended up in the bathtub soaking and talking all night, we never had sex that night. We did the next morning before we checked out and spent the next three days with my parents (in a the SAME hotel room, which meant no sex) before we took off on our honeymoon.

Celebrating our thirty year anniversary this year. We were married the year we turned 21. Both virgins up to our wedding night. Never regretted it.

No I did not wait until my wedding night. I don't believe it is necessary to wait if you are mature enough to handle all the consequences of your actions.
