I name all my pets after famous scientists. My hamster is named Newton. My chinchilla is named Von Brahn.

Another idea...I love it when people name little tiny dogs with really tough names. I saw a tiny little rat-looking dog named Brutus. It was awesome!

It's also really fun to name your pets after your favorite food. Snickers, Cheetos, Strogenoff, Meatloaf, Twizzler....all very cute.

Whatever you decide to name your dog...keep in mind you are going to be using it a lot. Go to your back door and shout it about three dozen times. If you are not tired of saying it after that...it's a good name.

My son, then 3 years old, named his female puppy Banga. I have no idea where he came up with it, but we always get comments on how different and cute that name is.
