If you are not a true student of the term, "Gnosis", please do not bother to answer this question. Yes, I know all about the simple Christian misrepresentations of the Gnostics. Who among you has actually bothered to read the Nag-Hammadi texts?

I have read the Nag-Hammadi texts. The original people of the Way were Gnostics. There was a falling-away from the Truth and the group that attained the upper hand denounced the Gnostics. Eventually the Gnostics also fell away from the Truth. At that time the world was engulfed in darkness since the Light had been taken from it. That Light, of course, is Knowledge – of which the world has none.

I'm currently reading Forbidden Faith by Richard Smoley . Before getting too involved, I wanted to research their history.
But "knowledge" of Spirituality is something I have been accumulating for years.
From what I have read so far, they all had specific deities, and rites, that might have seemed appropriate then, but today science should be included in the "Gnosis". I haven't read the Nag-Hammadi, yet, but it's next.
My search is my name illuminating-knowledge(Gnosis)

I have read a few. Do you visit the online Nag Hammadi library ? It's quite good.
