I've actually asked this to a Mexican colleague from Guadalajara during a job in Hungary. Well. The mijo part, because i've heard it before too. He says it's slang for 'brother'.

Sounds like ejos mijos which means roughly, sons, my sons....it would be equivelent to saying carramba!

hijo in spanish is child like YOUR child, son to be specific, mi hijo (sometime in slang smooshed together to sound like Mee-ho, one word) means my child, my son. The word you are pronouncing as (aye hos) I dunno
