I went to an amusement park the other day and I got a mix of first and second degree sunburns. I put on a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 everyhour, throughout the whole day. I also wore a hat. It was a hundred degrees outside and I didn't wear long sleeves.
This happens a lot. I am constantly sunburned. I wear an SPF of 30 everyday, and it prevents most stuff, but if I spend more than 30 minutes or so outside, I can feel myself burning through it. Using a higher SPF wont really help since every interval only increase blockage by 4%. Is there anything I can do to keep myself from burning.

I can't tan. In fact, I have NEVER been tan in my life.

I have seen an spf as high as 65. I would use that. Make sure you are covered, wear a hat, reapply the lotion often.....maybe check with your doctor to see if their is a stronger prescription spf? Seek the shade while out and try to avoid being outside during peak burn times....usually between 10 am and 4 pm. Don' forget the special sun block for your face and an spf chapstick. Take care and I hope you're feeling better soon!
One more thing.....the best thing I have found to take the sting out of a sunburn and clear it up quickly is plain old regular Noxzema cold cream. You can even keep it in the fridge for extra cooling relief. The best part? It is very inexpensive and the generic works just as good!

Unfortunately, if an spf 30 isn't helping, you may need to wear long sleeves all the time. Personally, I cannot tan - I am either white or pink/red. Fortunately, an spf 30 will allow me to be in the sun for a while. With your skin type - I would consult with a dermatologist to see if there is anything else you might try, but stick to long sleeves and the spf 30 for now. Long sleeves are a small price to pay to protect yourself from skin cancer.

Try a spray sunscreen. I heard that stuff's really good. Maybe wear a light long sleeve shirt. That is what people in the Middle East do. Wearing a light layer of clothes over an area of skin helps it from being burn. Definately don't wear black. If all else fails, see a doctor.

Stay in shade and keep umbrella with you in case you go to sunny places. Put a thin clothes on that would protect your shoulders and upper parts of your body because these usually are getting burned first. Also protect your face from burning by putting on some sunscreen on your face

Use zinc and spf clothing...carry an umbrella and don't go out in the sun from noon till 3 p.m when it is the strongest. You have to reapply sunscreen every hour (I do on the half hour) because you sweat it off.

both maximum significant products contained in the sunburn prevention arsenal are: a million. Sunscreen, vast spectrum UVA and UVB, SPF 30, water-resistant. 2. huge brimmed hats, lengthy sleeves, some thing that covers uncovered epidermis. sun shades to diminish eye damage.

Use stronger sunscreen! I've seen SPF70 on the market. Some people do burn easier than others and there isn't much you can do...
Be sure to use lots of aloe vera afterwards! It really helps cooling down your skin.

What about an SPF of 45? If that won't work, maybe you need to wear long sleeves.

Carry an umbrella made of material guaranteed to block the sun's harmful rays. They can be made to look pretty.
