No. Israel's Arab neighbors have been trying to wipe Israel off the map since it came into existence as a country in 1948.

Israel was attacked by neighboring Arab countries at least twice, in 1948 and in 1967, and that was long before Israel moved an inch into any Palestinian-claimed territory.

Radical Palestinians and other Arabs have explicitly voiced a wish to wipe Israel off the map for years.

There are Arabs in Israel, co-existing peacefully with Jews; but there are no Jews in the Gaza Strip, West Bank or Lebanon (Syria buffer zone) being allowed to co-exist with the Arabs.

What is wrong with this picture?

Remember: during the 1967 6-day War, Israel won the lands the Palestinians now occupy, as well as the Sinai Peninsula, ceded to Egypt during the An-war Sadat Era (who was killed by his own people for negotiating with Israel).

Israel just wants to keep what little property it has left; the Hezbollah is now taking advantage of the latest skirmish in the Gaza Strip, by forcing Israel to split its forces and fight on two borders.

Without a strong reaction, there would be no deterrence for the Arab nations from invading and destroying the State of Israel.

Jews are no more to blame for their conflict in the middle east than they were for their conflict with Nazis. Muslims have hated Jews almost from the beginning. When Hitler came to power he got a lot of his hatred of Jews from the Arabs. After WWII the Jews were given back their homeland. Muslims have been jealous about this ever since. They have tried to intimidate the Jews.
