Are you a bilingual person who thinks in a language and speaks in another?

I think in english and speak in spanish. Is it weird?

I am bilingual, with Spanish being my first language. Though this doesn't happen to me, it is not weird. The thing is that it makes you a bit more slow when speaking Spanish because first you create the idea and then you have to translate it, this usually happens when the person learned the other language by translating. Still, it is great that you speak Spanish too, it makes me happy to see that there are still intelligent people that realize that you should learn more than a language in this life.

I'm multilingual, born and raised to speak English, so that's what I think in, but I live in Venezuela, so I OFTEN speak spanish (very BAD spanish) I also speak french (fluently) and what I call tourist German (I lived there for about 3 years in Germany). I have had to communicate in all of these languages but think in English, I don't think that would ever change, occassionally a thought will pop into my head that is "thought" in another language. Anyway no you're not weird.

it is rude if the individuals conversing can talk English and do not even as there is someone there who doens't understand what's being spoken. notwithstanding, some people can keep on with conversations by using staring at facial expressions, body language, tone of voice and popularity of a few words (that is what Ido even as my kinfolk speaks Malay). The S.O. might want to truly be requested how they experience about it. they could nicely be superb with it in the initiating, yet then they received't be. also, how are people ever going to get extra proper at conversing a language in the adventure that they don't talk it extra typically besides. It also now and again relies upon upon the priority, yet interior the case you're proposing, certain is rude.

I think in three different languages and I speak all of them daily and sometimes some more languages. The funny thing is that I've started thinking more in English than in my native language.

It's not weird, lots of bilingual people are like this. :)

I used to do this when I was younger: think in my mothertongue then speak French or English.
Now I don't do it anymore when I speak French but often do it for English (which I speak less).
However, I try as much as possible not to translate because I easily make mistakes by doing this.

No, it is not. It is more common than you think. Usually a bilingual person may think in their mother tongue, and translate it to another language.

I can think in Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and English...just depends on whom I am talking to...

no, it's not weird. I actually think and speak in both English and Chinese, but I count numbers in Chinese. When someone gives me say, a phone number, I repeat the numbers in my head in Chinese as I write them down.
