he is right, but too much of anything is not good. Diet coke is terrible for you. It will make you gain weight, has artificial sweeteners which are poison. I recently read a study (sorry I don't remember where or the specifics) but it said something like people with caffeine, a little a day had less cancer cells or something than non decaffeinated drinks..(I think they were referring to coffee, caff or decaff.. Sorry I am a wishy washy on the details but it was something like that. If anything water is the best for you.. purified, distilled, not from faucet though. But 2 or 3 cups of coffee a day I don't think will hurt you..

It messes up the adrenal glands, hurts the stomach and makes it acidic in nature. Caffeine itself if I'm not mistaken will weaken the immune system and make you prone to getting sick more. I know it makes arthritis worse, especially in us Rheumatoid Arthritis sufferers. The caffeine and citric acid in sodas on the other hand cause terrible kidney stones... I should know.. I was in the hospital 2 times for a few weeks because of kidney stones from a Pepsi addiction.

Bottom Line: None of them are beneficial. They simply provide temporary "highs" and a long term addiction.

Coffee has antioxidants which disable free radicals. A high level of free radicals cause aging and are thought to play a role in cancer and heart disease. It is because of this coffee is healthier regardless of your feelings on caffeine content. On the plus side, coffee doesn't have chemicals foreign to the body like aspartame.
