O dear....that's really dangerous. Some plants are known to be toxic to cats and dogs in general.
Try keeping your plants in a separate room. If you can't do that, each time you witness a cat chewing on your plants, talk to him/ her in a firm scolding voice, and shoo or carry the cat away from the plant. When you see acceptable behaviour, i.e. the cat going near the plants but not chewing them, reward him/ her with lots of cuddles and kitty treats.
As a general rule, when you have a few cats, there's usually one who stands out as the leader of the group. Try this behavioural training on that cat first, and the rest will follow.
On the other hand, commercial cat food may be lacking in certain nutrients your cats may be needing, and they're simply trying to get those essential nutrients by eating the plants. Check to see that they're not suffering from nutritional deficiencies of any sort, fix that, and you won't see them eating the plants anymore.
However, if your plants are catnip, or have been sprayed with it in the first place unknowingly, that may well be the reason why your cats are so interested in eating them.
There's a type of spray that most pet and pet supplies shops sell that serves the function of deviating a cat from an object, such as a furniture. Try getting that spray, and spray it all over your plants (they shouldn't be toxic to your plants, but check with the sales person all the same).
Hope that helps.
Good luck!

You must have inside cats that never go outside to your yard. I have 4 cats, 3 are outside/inside cats, and they never eat my inside houseplants. Just lucky you might think. Actually, I probably am; however, pet stores do have cat "grass" you can grow especially for your inside cats--even the outside ones for that matter. Usually when a cat starts eating greens, they are feeling they are lacking in some way of some sort of vitamin or mineral that you haven't been providing them. Therefore, another avenue you can try is to give them additional vitamins/minerals in the usual cat food you provide them. There again, check on what type of cat food you are providing. Maybe it is lacking in some respects. I prefer Purina cat food in the big blue bag--where the first ingredient isn't just some corn mean, but is chicken. My cats all love it, and I believe they are getting better nutrients from the mix. The only advantage I can see from having outside cats, except that they seem happier, is the occasional field mouse they bring the remains home to show you--even an occasional garden snake or two. Oh well, or so it seems to me.

put your plants up high, get a package of kitty greens from a pet supply store and grow them their own plants for eating. Cats simply are going to eat things so if you have anything poison you had better give it to another plant lover.

Be careful, most houseplants and flowers are toxic for cats! Maybe you shouldn't have them in the house, or if you have them, lock them all in one room where the kitties can't nibble on their leaves.

Nothing you can do about it, they just like to gnaw on plants.
